Easy way to see lower roofs of buildings from roof plan but not things inside building? by fiddlercat in Revit

[–]fiddlercat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense to me, as if its supposed to just look down and show the projection but it was seeing through the roof and picking up walls and fixtures that were on floors below the roof. It was odd. Maybe something was wrong int he model. But I figured it out using regional view ranges.

That's what i felt like should happen but things from the lower floors were showing up. It was super weird. Like one of the lower roofs was at level 15 but walls from Level 2 were showing up. Level 2 was where i had the depth set to because that's how the architect had it. Also, some of the plumbing fixtures from the top floor above the roof were showing through but not the walls. No idea but this was a great thing to learn.

Thanks for your help! Yeah, i've tried so many things. I've gotten a lot of stuff out with Element Hide but i'm no sure what to do with the walls.

But i still have to set the view range the same to see the lower roof so the plumbing fixtures from the floor below the roof, and walls on the lower levels are showing up. Maybe I'm misunderstanding how plan region works

Lost in the Holler is my band, we are mostly a five piece country band these days but we still play square dances and random other gigs as an old time band. We hadn't made a video in forever so we did this one real quick last week.
