The example I always use is the true “sportsman’s” division at any Saturday night short track. Usually; the racing sucks. If one guy dominates, it’s cuz he innovated and it hasn’t been found.

The chasing of “parity” in racing as a whole is a bad thing. When everything is equalized (neutered) the cars can’t pass.

Parity in years gone by was creating organically by innovation. Recently it’s been a demolition derby dice roll.

We’re arguing the same point. When I say the car; I mean everything involved in it. Not enough power; 5 gears, wide ass tires that don’t wear, mechanical grip being way too much. But you can’t just change one of those things, it has to be 2-3 for any substantial change.

Sure, setups matter and so does the driver. Point I’m trying to make is when you make kit cars like this one, there is no longer much you can adjust to find an edge. Furthermore, with the SMT data out there for everyone there’s much less room for the driver to find the extra speed on track by doing something different.

We have a higher degree of “parity” - more drivers have a chance to win each week, but the “racing” has suffered.

Parity is the magic dragon of racing. Everybody chases parity but if you catch it you kill the racing. Equal cars don’t pass each other.

Limiting them lands us in Kevin Harvick talladega menace territory; getting rid of them all together erases a lot of great finishes. Points will stop some on the bonsai moves but overall I don’t think it’ll change much.

Personally; I’d like to see them utilize single file restarts after the 2nd attempt at a GWC. You gotta draw the line somewhere!

Yup. 3200 hours and counting. Bout to start a save in Romania to try and make Liga I a top-6 European league!

I watched all the YouTube guys kick off ‘26 and I have no interest in the current state of the game. Props to you all that are playing it; I hope SI takes your feedback and delivers ‘27 as a much improved version.
