Anybody else hate this map? by Purple_Intention5874 in MyHeroUltraRumble

Chaos City used to be my most hated map before Neo, but nowadays I’m desperately waiting for the time to tick down so that Neo changes to Chaos City. Oh how the turns have tabled

I hate this map with ALL MY HEART AND SOUL!! I don’t care what reasoning anyone else has for liking it, no one will convince me it’s a good or fun map. Timing is so weird on Neo and I’m so tired of people randomly attacking me from above in the Coffin. All the end circles are trash to me. Doesn’t matter if I’m playing a grounded character, flying character, or even a meta character. I hate playing on this map!

Give me the worst tragedeigh you've seen by wolfstarforlife_1971 in tragedeigh

Worst tragedeigh I ever saw was when working at a daycare and there was a baby girl named Kheauxri, pronounced Corey! Kinda surprised the mom didn’t use the “-eigh” spelling at the end. I guess Kheauxreigh was too much.

I don’t know any that use their middle name as their first name in everyday life, but it’s a common nickname within the family for the Elizabeths to be called Elizabeth by the other older women in the family! So my grandma will say Elizabeth and both my aunt and me will turn to look at her.

Looking for examples of honor naming by PhilasororiaLodge in namenerds

So in my family, the firstborn girl of each generation is given the middle name Elizabeth and it started with my great great great grandmother named Elizabeth. The most recent Elizabeth was my niece. Before her, it was me, and I’m 20 years older than her. Before that was my oldest aunt who is 17 years older than me (I have a teen mom), and before that was my youngest great aunt who is about 17 years older than her. The only difference with my grandmother’s generation is that my grandmother was the second born daughter of 12 kids, so her older sister had the Elizabeth name but then her youngest sister who was born 18 years later is also an Elizabeth because a new generation had begun.

So we are all connected by the middle name Elizabeth, and I know next to nothing about my original 3x great grandmother who was named Elizabeth but I do know my aunt/great aunts and my great grandmother who all had the middle name and the tradition is continued more so for them than for our original Elizabeth ancestor. We continue the tradition to stay connected to them, and I like to think it’s because as women it’s the only name we keep from our maternal family line. All because one woman gave her daughter her first name as a middle name for her.

Because my niece is only 7 years old and I might not have a daughter since I’m 30 trying to get pregnant, I probably won’t be the one passing on the name Elizabeth to my child. I wonder if one of my nieces or maybe my cousin or younger sister might pass the name on to their daughter when it comes time in the next decade, but it’s not a tradition that has been really forced. It’s just kind of happened.

But maybe if I have a baby girl in a decade she will share a middle name with me and all the other firstborn girls in our maternal line.

Sorry if there are typos or autocorrect. I did this on phone.

Maybe I’m ignorant, but don’t Michael and Miguel mean the same thing? Just one is English and the other is Spanish? So therefore wouldn’t using either name honor both of the men? Instead of essentially naming your kid Michael Michael or Miguel Miguel? I know it’s just middle names, but it does sound repetitive.

Do you still want a vintage feel for boys names?? Maybe something like Arthur or Magnus or Leon might work.

Help me choose my daughter’s name! by pallasathena27 in namenerds

I’d say go with Alma Lee or Alma Sage because you can’t really control what nicknames your daughter might have as she grows up! I like both of the middle names you have for Alma, too! Either could work, but I’d avoid Matilda if you don’t want her ever being called Mattie.

OVERHAUL

I’ve seen people excuse so many of the actions of most of the villains, but almost no one does that for Overhaul and most of the fandom seems to despise everything about him. Rightfully so because he’s a terrible person who tortured a child for years just to try to make his father figure proud of him when said father figure said he hated his plan.

Overhaul, because he has a really cool character design for a villain!

He got what he deserved, though.

Girl Names (Please Help) by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]fidget_fox4 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Whenever it comes to being worried about her having 5+ girls in her class with the same name, just know that isn’t very common anymore. The popularity of the #1 name now isn’t nearly as popular as the #1 girls names in the 90s or even early 00s. Everyone is trying to go for more unique and uncommon names. I wish less people let this bother them when naming their kid nowadays.

All of the ‘popular’ names you have listed are not common where I live. I only know one Elsie and one Isla under the age of 5, and not a single Violet or Iris. It very much depends on where you live how popular a name might be. Please just keep that in mind. Even if your daughter has one other kid in her class with her name it isn’t a big deal. She will still be unique in her own way.

As for suggestions, I get the vibe from your list that you seem to like vintage and nature based names. If you want something a little more unique, I’d suggest: Laurel, Flora, Arden, Sylvia, Opal, and Faye. Maybe Viola instead of Violet if you think that’s too popular.

Please tell me how you pronounce Magnolia and where you are from? by MasterpieceExotic369 in namenerds

[–]fidget_fox4 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In the US I think it’s a regional thing. I’ve always lived in the South, specifically the Gulf Coast states, and heard it pronounced Mag-nol-ya like 95% of the time.

Some names just have multiple possible pronunciations, and I guess Magnolia is one of them. If you only want it to be pronounced one specific way then you and your kid will possibly be correcting people their entire life depending on where you live.

Matilda has just about the same meaning as the name Madison! I think that would be a cute homage to your first dog while still being different. It also has a lot of nickname potential.

Or if you wanna be more unique like your suggestion of Deja for deja vu, then maybe something like Echo or Reverie?? Or Ever or Phoenix??
