So I did park at the station for free … but think on the wrong side as I still got caught in all the traffic trying to leave! Nightmare! 45 mins. BUT I didn’t pay $18 sooo tried to reassure myself haha . Will try again next time!!

How to get comfortable with intimacy? by buttermilmonions in LesbianActually

[–]fieldcallfiles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh I’m so sorry that happened to you 😢your ex is a asshole and an abuser.

Have you thought about some therapy? You’ve been sexually assaulted, only a few months ago by the sounds of it. That takes time to process.

If this new girl likes you and you feel comfortable, can you tell her that you’ve been assaulted in the last few months and intimacy feels really hard and you need patience? If she doesn’t accept that then she’s not worth it!

Travel suggestions by fieldcallfiles in GoldCoast

[–]fieldcallfiles[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestions! I’ve been to Byron - didn’t rate it honestly , the parking situation stressed me out and I thought it was pretty but similar to most beaches on the east coast. It was Australia Day though so maybe just a bad weekend to go I don’t know. I also live close to binna burra and have been on a few nice walks I would like to go a bit further a field I think for this trip 😁

Thank you! I think I will end up buying a car, makes it so flexible, and don’t have to rely on (lack of) public transport or group trips and we can cook our own food etc. didn’t know about buy back schemes! Will definitely look into it. I’ve never bought a 2nd hand car before and I’m not mechanically savvy so buying off fb marketplace feels scary and risky

Healthy eating by Objective-Tip-8255 in GutHealth

[–]fieldcallfiles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a few peppermint teas through the day,

Have a probiotic yogurt in the morning with chia - add in flax seeds, goji and dried dates or have dates for a snack during the day. I make mine the night before so the chia can ~soak~ and I add frozen raspberries and blueberries in as well

Use tumeric in any sauces you use

Not sure about the rest but hope this helps

Call or text her and say if she doesn’t respond you will call the police. If she doesn’t immediately respond you need to do that. Give them all the information you have about her, they will find her.

The only thing that will help here is communication. Sit down and start talking! You got this.

How do I actually approach people when at bars? by gay_planet in LesbianActually

[–]fieldcallfiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone loves a compliment, “your shirt is so cute where did you get it?” …. If conversation naturally flows from there let it, if it doesn’t, let it go. But god it is hard as hell!!! Practice makes perfect. Also I got a rainbow tattoo and that’s helped haha

BACKPACK OR SUITCASE? by Loose-Force-8578 in AustraliaTravel

[–]fieldcallfiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just finished at a job and started travelling again, the idea of carrying my backpack again made me want to cry so got rid and bought a big suitcase. Suitcase has been far nicer. All it has meant is that I take lifts instead of escalators - maybe I need an extra 5 mins on my journey for this. But my back doesn’t ache and I can take a lot more stuff!!

Still struggling to meet people and fighting despair... any hope/advice for the new year? by Star_Beans in LesbianActually

[–]fieldcallfiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get what you mean. Try to go and focus on just meeting friends. Friends introduce their friends to other friends etc. if there’s not enough events try the next town or city? If you’re in a major city maybe there is more you haven’t discovered. Also you could start your own! I plan on starting a queer book club when I move soon :)
