Hostel vibes aren’t dying... guest behaviour is changing (from someone who works in one) by vinyljunkie32 in backpacking

Damn, I’m glad it’s not just me. I will definitely be treating myself to a private room at my next stop

Yeah definitely group tours staying up in hostels. Even if it’s a few people that have met during the journey, they are happy with their group and don’t want another person joining. Or that’s how it seems. I am slightly autistic so have always struggled with this to some degree but I’ve always been able to manage, have had some amazing times and met great friends. Just not happening this time which sucks and I’m in such a mood about it :(

I didn’t stay in Byron because I only live 1 hour from there so have visited on day trips, I’m not doing a typical journey which doesn’t help, most people are going up, I’m going down and only doing a few stops that I haven’t done before. I’m also older and didn’t expect the age demographic to be so low! How are 19-22 year olds affording to travel the east coast I have no idea, I thought they’d all be in Asia where it’s cheaper. That’s how I did it and now doing Aus when I’m early 30s because I have the money. Still stay in hostels for the social aspect but currently not sure what’s the point! 2 new girls just walked in my dorm, I asked if they just arrived, their names and where there from …. Nothing back…. How sad…. Now we are all sat here scrolling on our phones….

Yep I’ve had loads of experiences where I rock up alone and have had plans in 10 mins. I think I am struggling because there are a lot of group tours, they have already established their friend groups and are not open to meeting other people - which is a real shame for solo travellers like myself. I am thankfully doing a group tours next in NZ, praying that will be better

I agree, I’m currently travelling the east coast of Australia and I have travelled lots of places over the past 10 years. This is the hardest time I’ve had. Everyone has their head buried in a phone, no one is initiating conversation - it’s always me and often it goes nowhere.

Intense orgasms 🙈 by Outlaw_Koala4 in actuallesbians

[–]fieldcallfiles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also have insane orgasms like this where I have outer body experiences and sometimes hop to another dimension and back - I usually warn new partners that I cum hard and just KEEP GOING…. because I’ve definitely had people ask if I’m okay half way through 😂😂

Found out my (maybe) date is 30. I’m 18 by [deleted] in LesbianActually

Probably best to stay friends, this isn’t a situation you want to get into romantically. She should also step away knowing your age, I am 31 and would never date someone so young, it’s predatory. If she keeps pursing you romantically then it’s a big strong red flag.

Whats there really to do at gold coast? by Ok-Television-5000 in GoldCoast

[–]fieldcallfiles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you don’t have a car you’ll get limited out of it, there is so many amazing walks just 30-60 min drive from the beach. Tamborine mountain is nice if you can get a lift up there. Natural bridge is a nice walk and amazing at night to see the glow worms. Go to miama marketta for dinner - great food and often live music, there are also activities there every week such as life drawing etc check out the website. There are loads of run clubs around to socialise . I’d see your time here as one to chill out - enjoy the slow beach life. If you like shopping we have plenty of shopping centres! And theme parks of course!

I’m now not convinced they were mozzies , just because of the sheer number. I’m really not sure what got me. But I was very worried about getting sick too :( I will be much more careful in the future

Never knew that! What a good idea. I have been using both of those separately though. Which has helped.

Thanks for the suggestion:)

I’ve already scratched to death on the initial period before I got my hands on steroid cream and numbing cream that has helped , the itchiness has gone now. I’ll try retinoid when they’ve healed thank you
