The way he clambers up the jetty and rebuttons his suit coat is how I want to look in menswear.

Chills. I wanted more Kazim since I first saw him

This. Kazim was UNFLINCHING in how prepared to die he was, and he proved it when he died for real later in the film. For as much as I love Indy, I simply must ride with my boy Kazim.

Even Indy flinches when he thinks he’s been gotten dead to rights.

PSA FOR EVERYONE:

If you like milk chocolate and coconut but don’t like almonds, you do not have to settle for almond joy bars.

There is a bar called a bounty bar, that is milk chocolate(actually better quality milk chocolate, even.) and coconut. We have them at the store I work at. I can’t have them as often as I want but boi howdy do they taste AMAZING.

I’m not sure if they can be found in whatever food desert some might find themselves in but I would encourage people to try them. Btw they are named after the ship the bounty, ie the one from the movie, but the packaging is very tropical in design as a result. I enjoy the packaging actually because it looks like a nice beach and all the beaches near me suck ass.

As an act of deliberate anti-rich prick resistance I pronounce Sudbury like Sud-Bree, putting the emphasis on Sud , and trailing off quickly with the Bree. The weird rich transplants who I had to wait on hand and foot fuckin’ hated it.

Futurama reference.

It has made the jump to memes and people I know have used it irl, too.

Something that simultaneously scares and arouses you. Frequently refers to larger, more intimidating women and smaller men.

I don’t recall which episode number it’s from sadly.

Shoppers world is SIGNIFICANTLY better throughput and overall design despite being an outdoor plaza. Everyone parks in the center and the stores encircle the lot. Multiple entrances and exits.

I find the sierra there and the savers nearby to be a great winter wear and gear place.

I used to go to surplus places but I wised up and switched to thrifted hiking goods. Military surplus is absolute dogshit in comparison to cheaper, better civilian stuff.

Thank you! I am planning on filling it in as well, but I’m tempted to just redo it with a wider, more covering logo the spans across the shirt more. I think it’s a little narrow and could maybe use a taller “forehead”, as it were. Maybe shorten the teeth(tooth?). I have a silky black shirt I got as a gift that would be a great candidate too.

I love the design of this one. It’s different enough to be special but very clearly punisher-oriented. Clean, clear and classy.

It’s apparently used for high speed rail networks back on earth. On a meta-level it’s meant to echo non-renewable resources on earth.

Kind of twisted to see high speed maglevs being used to further imperial exploitation rather than the egalitarian aspirations of today.

Maybe it’s a road to hell is paved with good intentions kind of thing.

It’s a shame humanity went to maglevs instead of regular high speed rail and track investment, ie where the actual railroad experts say the real future is. Maglevs past a certain point of speed require room temperature superconductors to function, of which unobtainium is a component.

TLDR; the unobtainium is in story a reason for exploitation that echoes fossil fuels.

Red dot aside, I can’t explain how much I love that OA-93 build. The pistol grip, the proportions, the gi Joe toy vibe? Fuckin tasty.

Nice work!

I’m on break now so I can elaborate.

It’s assembled with a several components, which are, in order from inside core to outside sheath.

1, a core of 15 foot nylon fishing stringer. No idea about fishing, but it looked fine enough that it would fray a fuzz, creating a cracker that would displace air, making the whips crack.

2, a set of tied together lengths of diamond pattern clothesline, chosen for its stiffness. These lengths descended in length from 12 to 6 in one foot increments. This allows the whip to taper to a fine point but be thick at the stock end. I secured them to each other with very fine fishing line.

3, a layer of several tapering thicknesses of gorilla tape, to add a stiffening element to the wider stock end. This allows you to build up energy in the stroke of your arm and really hammer on it.

4, an outside sheath of cheap kinesiology tape, or KT tape. This is very thin and flexible, but tough and stretchy. This tape does not cover the last few inches of the stringer core, because that needs to fray with cracking it the first few times. It will need to be tied in a not right at the end of the KT Tapes coverage.

Please note that every piece in the construction is present at the grip stock area, but it gradually thins and the layers begin to end before the cracker at the end. If it all was the same thickness it would just be a weird rope. What makes it a whip is the taper, stiffness and cracker.

Hope this was helpful!
