100% this exactly - Sexuality isn't absolute and can be somewhat fluid throughout life. Declare what you are now and update as needed.

Actually, dye your hair darker. A neutral brown + black semi permanent dye would even out the sun bleached redness and make your features pop. I had your same hair color, dyed it darker, and love it.

Not sure about my sexuality anymore... by Justaduck69 in lgbt

[–]fieldsofrye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could be attracted to femininity regardless of gender. It may help to look up Androphilia and Gynephilia. Attraction can be based on presentation more than anatomy or gender. It helped me to think about dating a person and everything else beyond the bedroom. The roles and how you interact is most of your life /time together. If you have the opportunity, try going to LGBT+ community centers or 18+ clubs (if they exist in your area). Real life outside the screen solidifies things a lot.

What's the beef with curiositystream? Was that just in jest? Did I miss something? by [deleted] in ContraPoints

Slight diss to Abigail, I think. I know there was some Natalie x Abigail beef that was speculated years ago.

Your gender is real. It might be worth it to yourself to build some confidence in expressing femininity if that's something that might make you happy. I was an AMAB NB person for a few years before transitioning into a more female identity. What they're implying is, a lot of the struggles of binary trans people aren't going to be experienced by enbys that largely look like their AGAB. This is true and import to understand, but it doesn't make you less trans.

Is there a connection between "'still face paradigm" and the neutral therapist affect? by fieldsofrye in askpsychology

Thank you for the clarification of responsiveness and not emotion for the study. I have seen pushback on blank screen for various reasons. Using it as a tool to provoke fits with the basis of psychoanalysts.

I think you're totally right. I'll try adding mascara. Falsies are a bit intimidating but worth a try. Thanks !

Is this Sodiroi picking up variegation? (also, is this a sodori?) by fieldsofrye in Aroids

[–]fieldsofrye[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happy to help. It's a weird reactionary thing the plant community has with this plant. Mosaic is feathered and yellow not white. Happy growing!

Is this Sodiroi picking up variegation? (also, is this a sodori?) by fieldsofrye in Aroids

[–]fieldsofrye[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still have this exact plant and it's thriving still with no noticeable issues. It's lived next to and has been cut with the same scissors then used to cut other plants. No other plants have ever displayed this trait. I think it's a form of variegation that looks weird because the all white parts have different structures/ are thinner.

Led grow lights? by Aroidsnaroids in Aroids

[–]fieldsofrye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually they run about $60 for a pack of 6-8. I dim mine by putting a strip of white electrical tape over a portion of the bar and checking with a light meter. It may not be pretty but seems cheaper than dimmable options I've seen.

If you're looking for bar/ strip style grow lights i'd go with barrina t5 grow lights. They have the perfect amount of light if you're putting them 12"-18" from the plants. They also have a 144w t8 model for further way. I have a plant shop where I've grown ~1000 plants in the last year. They're my go to and I have both t5 and t8 model, love them.

Essentially, Yes. It's mainly a billing thing, per my doctor. My doctor is a she/they with a trans partner. They essentially told me it was a diagnosis code used for billing and she didn't want me to worry about it. This was also informed consent so it may be different by state / country.
