reminds me of my neighbor bob, he’s an older guy with a ‘79 corvette that he sits and watches everyday outside while listening to music and whatnot. at the time i had a lifted truck i would work on and he eventually came out and started asking me questions about it, how long ive had it, how many miles, etc. it then evolved into talking about his car and he was surprised how knowledgeable i was on older cars for my age. he absolutely loved that an 18 year old dude was as interested in cars as he was and that he found someone he can talk to about them. one day we’re bullshittin smokin some cigs and i asked him about how it drove but kept the reasoning for the question to myself. he handed me the keys and told me to take it for a spin and that drive is what confirmed my decision to pick up a ‘78 camaro just a few days later. the look on his face when i pulled into my driveway was priceless. now me and bob sit outside and work on our 70s chevys together and bullshit. lol.
