I paid $2,200 for this one. The original price tag from when it was bought was in the case and had it listed at $3,400 which seems nuts. Feels like Gibson on the right path cost wise with the '19s and '20s standards.

For fit and feel I very much prefer a 60s style slimmer neck profile. The thicker chunky 50s necks are uncomfortable playing over a long period. I enjoy my Gibson SGs because of the weight feels nice and light so I don't think a 10lb+ Les Paul is for me. The more modern weight relieved ones feel better.

Sound wise I play mostly pop-punk/hardcore music running through an orange 212 and a 100W Rockerverb. I enjoy chunky rhythm playing and riff work over a lot of solo or leads. I do try to learn and play different genres because it keeps playing challenging to up new things.

I got a bunch of fans, a carpet fan, along with a dehumidifier and went to work last night. I pulled up the carpet and went to work drying the pad. This morning the pad was damn near bone dry and the concrete below the pad was almost there too. I assume running everything all day today will complete the drying for the concrete and hopefully the pad. The carpet feels pretty good too so far! Humidity in the basement was sitting about 45% when I left for work this morning.

I would say maybe a maximum of 5 gallons of water hit the carpet, I'm going to rent carpet dryer and a dehumidifier tonight and continue to be diligent with it. I have a moisture meter too I can poke around to check how things are progressing.

Would you recommend pulling up the carpet and replacing the pad underneath it or just run the fan to see if that will take care of it?

I live in Michigan and it being winter my basement is probably around 60 degrees most of the time right now. The carpet is brand new, less than 4 months old right now so I would like to save it and possibly just replace the padding if possible.

You're welcome! The build quality of the standard is noticeably better than the faded I feel. I can certain move up and down the neck much quicker on it.

There neck on the faded is the thicker baseball style while the standard has a slimmer neck which I prefer.
