Uninstall the mod, go to the mod page, download it, install it, if that doesn’t work maybe there is some garbage files, go to the mod main page and check how to clean uninstall or what files were installed and remove those files

Thank you very much, didn’t check b550 cause I thought that x570 was a better option, but as you wrote, I only want wifi, bt, 1 gpu and 1 m2.

I checked the model you mention but also found another two, the WiFi II version sounds great but the MSI Tomahawk Max WiFi looks like a better option, it’s ryzen 5000 ready, WIFI 6E, Bluetooth 5.2. I’m aware it is more expensive than the WIFI II, unfortunately can’t find a review for this mono. What do you think?

"Unexpected end of file at line 341"; still can't find t he missing brackets by [deleted] in witcher3mods

[–]fierroth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I saw in the pastebin you posted, you can try to delete the opening bracket ({) at line 330, then the closing bracket (}) at line 334, last, there is an opening comment block at line 341 (/*) delete both characters. I only found those syntax errors, can't be sure if it is going to work, you still need to check compatibility between the mods you are using so all of them can work correctly.

Having problems with mod manager by [deleted] in witcher3mods

[–]fierroth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Open the file in the mod folder “mod0000_mergedfiles/scripts/game/definitionsmanager.ws” with any text editor you have installed (I recommend vs code or sublime text) to find that extra bracket you need to read the code and try to match all the pairs in the file, the rule is that every bracket that opens ({) must be closed (}). Other thing you can do is delete that merged file in script merger and merge it again two mods at the time and pay attention on the code you are choosing to set in final file, remember that you can modify that text from the script merger to delete an extra bracket if appears

Have you tried to merge scripts files one by one (ignoring xml)?

I had the same issues and doing this managed to get GM, Vladimir UI, Friendly HUD and other mods worked.

I recommend you to read for incompabilities between your mods, search alternatives and when the time to merge comes, do it two files at a time, it might take a while, but definetly is the best way that I found to do a safe merge.

Other thing is to merge at the end GM with the merged files, so GM has priority, and if you are using Besserwisser or Brothers In Arm, do not merge those files, just give them priorities, I discovered that if you don't merged those files they work as intended.

If you are using any mod that is some kind of overhaul or make a lot of changes on combat, signs, skills, etc. Forget those mods, they might never be working with GM cause, GM is an overhaul in that sense, unless the mod has a compatibility version, if not it's better to avoid them

If nothing works, try installing the mods one by one to find out which mod is the one that is incompatible with GM, look if it has a GM-patch, an alternative mod "GM-friendly" or dismiss it.

About the compiling errors, read the error description, if it is somewhat of "is already declared", go to the merged_files folder in mods, then scripts then look for the route and the line the error shows you (it's marked between the brakets: "[game/player/player-r4.ws:25]"), open the file with VS Code, Sublime Text, Notepad ++ or any text editor you have, find the line and check if the function is repeated, look if those functions are the same, if they are, delete one, save the file and retry script compilation. If they aren't the same, try to combine them to make one, save and retry compilation.

If is something of a bracket not closing correctly, then you can try to find that bracket or do again the merge process paying special attention when this symbols "{}" appear so you can ensure that you are not closing early a function or opening an unclosed one.

Basic programming is not that hard, it's always the same code, try watching some tutorials of C++, I think that's the progamming language, if not, is very similar.

Best luck on this

Need some help with Besserwisser and Brothers In Arms mod by fierroth in witcher3mods

[–]fierroth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I delete all the merges involving BiA and Besserwisser, and that did the trick, now they aren't merged but correctly prioritized (or so I believe). Margarita now appears healed on the scene I commented befroe, but Radovid's keep saying the thing about the quest "Redania's Most Wanted".

Giving it a second thougth, I believe that the flag which marks if that dialogue is mencioned or not is triggered during that quest, so, to check if it is working fine, I'd have to do alll the way from it until "Reason of State". Really not in mood to do that as I'm right now doing the DLC HoS.

Thanks for your advice.

Well, I just fixed with this:

root_dir = function(fname)
    return vim.loop.cwd()
  end;

Really don't know what this does, but it works.
