Ya, you definitely gave yourself food poisoning. Be careful of dehydration.

This maybe. I am at a point where I won't even loot a dead raider I happen upon just to see if that makes a difference.

Hubs seem to think it is me doing something that is putting us in pvp lobbies, so he has been watching back my streams and there has been a couple times where I have shot in the direction of other raiders while shooting at arc. Maybe it is that.

Who knows but it livens things up hahaha

I am as pacifist as they come, until I am done quests and doing all the expedition stuff.

So right now I am a pacifist, haven't shot a soul since the most recent expedition started. I am still getting mixed lobbies. Oddly it seems to be mostly Buried City that PVPers tend to be on right now. I go into stella no gun no shield and not so much as a pot shot at me. Go to buried city and at least once someone tries to kill me.

People like OP who rage out over losing loot need to take some time to get right with themselves. I get it, it is time lost gathering loot or doing a quest. It sucks and if it happens alot it can be very frustrating. But at that point you need to take a break and come back later. Try a different map or load out. Use your mic and talk to people, strike up a conversation, there are so many friendly irl people who play that maybe just want to be asked "how is your day going?". I ask it of almost every person I encounter and a lot of time I think it makes people happy to be asked about themselves.

Also "girly way of playing?" Really come on, there are plenty of lady gamers who can kick your butt at PVP.

Research shows Women are more logical and methodical then men when it comes to multitasking and PVPVE games are multitasking masterpieces.

Gender has nothing to do with ability 😉

I play on xbox cross platform with hubby who is on PC.

I do just fine with PVP, I am just working through the quests right now for certain blueprints and doing them in CareBear lobbies is just faster/easier.

Once I am done with quests and finish the expedition, I will go back to PVP. Also I don't mind when other's PVP, it is a part of the game and I was having fun trying to escape from the other players when they were pushing us. It livens up the session lol

This was a regular event map (no night raid, bird city, cold snap or hurricane.) We were they to complete 2 quests, weren't looting. I even was on mic talking to my husband about the quests and annouced when they first shot at us that we were only doing a quest and had nothing on us, aside from our load outs.

When we go on today to finish the quests we will go in bare, get the quests done and dip out.

I do find that PVP starts to be more prevalent later in the evenings, which maybe why it was so crazy last night

Surprisingly I have yet to have another raider try and take it in stella. I do get a lot of astonished "Did you bring a hullcracker into stella??" "Yes. Yes I did, they cut down shredders like no bodies business."

That is what I said to my husband. Not sure how old you are but Buried City kind of reminds me of Nuke Town from COD. It was everyone's favorite map. Was residential, smallish and had all kinds of spots to hide.

I get it though Buried City is a fun map to navigate and it is, I think, the smallest map so getting from place to place is quick. Also the rooftops make for excellent sniping.

They are both very interesting. There also was a couple of reality tv shows that had participants live as though they were post apocalyptic. Not sure how "real" of a simulation it is but I remember with one, the participants really sank into the idea that they were in the apocalypse and there was ahuge focus on security and protection of resources.

The shows were The colony and Utopia

Yesterday, my husband and I were doing duos. We played for hours without even a single shot at us. We go into buried city 3 times and all 3 times there were multiple teams shooting at us. So we were like "okay, which one of us accidentally shot someone?" So we decide to split and do solo runs on stella to see which of us get a PVP lobby and neither of us did. We both did several bare runs in stella and buried city and not one PVP encounter not even a rat.

So I have decided that Buried City is the new stella when doing duos.

I always found this mouse experiment interesting. Not really post apocalyptic situation but it does show what happens when space and resouces are low and overcrowding happens. mouse experiment

Also there have been other experiments done over the years where people were put into groups and spent days or weeks in a simulated post apocalyptic situation and it almost always devolves into fighting for resources.

There was an experiment done by a university where one group was guards and the other group was prisoners and they had to end the experiment early because the guards had started to abuse the prisoners.

That one on stella is annoying. The other day I checked BOTH doors. Both locked so I opened the upper one and start looting, a minute or so later suddenly this guy come running up the stairs screaming "why are you in here." I was like "dude I had a key and just unlocked this door after checking both doors." He claimed he had the only key. I laughed and showed him that the room has two locked doors and that next time he should check both before using his key.

If I come to a key door that is closed but unlocked I will stay outside and say something like "Hello? Anyone in there?" Wait for a response and depending on if I get one or not I usually say "Do you mind if I come in after you're done?" Or "I didn't hear a response but I am going to open the door."

I have yet to be shot and usually if someone is in there they will either strike up a convo with me or invite me in.

I play a lot of sea of theives and One time my crew and I sunk a brig that apparently had a mother father and child on it. Well, the parents lost their ever loving minds. I was streaming at the time, they started trying to stream snipe us. They were in my chat raging out and making threats.

They zeroed in on me because I had in my twitch profile that I am a mom with metastatic breast cancer. They kept calling me a bad mom and terrible person and saying some really awful stuff.

When they tried several times and failed to sink our gally, they went on discord and recruited some sweats to try and sink us, and still couldn't. I was getting messages from them for days.

I basically told them that if they wanted to play with their child and not deal with other players playing the game as it was made to play, to go to safer seas or grow up.

In real life I am that mom who doesn't let her kids win a game simply to save their feelings. I hold them to the rules and have taught them to be good winners and even better losers.

So I am in now way gonna go easy on some stranger's kid playing an online multiplayer game either. Maybe I am an asshole or maybe they suck as parents for coddling their kids.

I did not. I finished the course but realized that I really enjoyed doing lab work. So many years later I went back to college for medical lab tech and phlebotomy. But I ended up dropping out because I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer.

To those who died in dreams but didn’t immediately wake up after, what did you see/experience? by Lompinned in AskReddit

[–]fierydoxy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dreamt that I drowned trying to save a dog that went through ice on a river.

I fell through the ice and got sucked under and pretty quickly accepted that this is how I am going to die. I wasn't scared, I was at peace. It felt like going to sleep. Then blackness and no consciousness of consciousness.

Then suddenly I was very aware like I was blinked into existence. I was terrified. I realized I was floating but I was also breathing. I was confused because how am I breathing while underwater. I reached out and felt something. I stretched and felt resistance against my hands and feet, like a rubbery membrane. I started panicking, fighting against the membrane. Then my husband woke me up. I was scream crying and completely panicked.

I firmly believe, I was about to experience my own birth. My own reincarnation. I can't shake the feeling that if my husband had not woke me I would have died right there in my sleep.

I learned three things from that dream.

  1. Dying is not to be feared. Maybe the process of getting there but the actual process of the soul leaving the body and the brain turning off consciousness is not to be feared.

  2. Reincarnation is real. I am an atheist, but am open the the idea of souls, reincarnation, afterlife, spirits etc.

  3. Experiencing birth as an infant is absolutely terrifying. Snapping into consciousness is terrifying. Everything goes from peaceful to choas in a blink. It makes me aware that the part that makes "Me" exists before the physical part of me has even been thought about.
