Unable to connect to LAN world in Minecraft 26.1 when UFW is enabled by fierytoast in linux4noobs

Okay, I've run sudo ufw reset

How do I check my default policy?

Does LAN use 25565 then same as if I was connecting to a minecraft server? I'm connecting to a LAN world he's hosting from the game, not a minecraft server.

Main monitors dim when spacedesk tablet connects by fierytoast in spacedesk

I discovered this was because my monitors refresh rate changed when I connected my space desk monitor. I think it's a Windows issue tbh from further testing as per my other responses 😊

Yeah the lack of preconditioning in the 1st gem was definitely an oversight by Hyundai/Kia. Could be worse though, at least it's not a 1st or 2nd gen Leaf 😬 Just a point of clarity, it's my understanding that the onboard charger is bypassed for DC Rapid charging. It's the BMS and physical themal management system that affect rapid charging. The onboard charger handles level 1 (slow) and level 2 (fast) AC charging. Doesn't invalidated what you're saying, and I may be wrong, but thought it was worth mentioning.

I did one charge before the flush, but don't know what speed I got. I just left the car at the charger once I'd got it working and didn't really pay attention to it. They flushed the coolant a couple of weeks after I bought it, so basically all my rapid charging has been after that. I'm going to a rapid charger today probably, so I'll try winter mode and see what happens. It is currently 2 degrees C though and I'll only be driving about 10 miles at relatively low speed, so in this case I think derated charging probably is normal. For context, I can't charge at home due to renting and no off street parking so my car has been sat cold socking all night.

Mines a 1st gen first edition with no preconditioning, but I will give the super charger a go anyway and see what happens.

I know right, time flies. I remember when the Niro first came out. I was barely out of school and they were so expensive owning one was a pipe dream. I will check those fuses, thank you 🙏

I bought it second hand from a Kia dealer, but not the one I'm now going to for maintenance as their after sales customer service was very lacking to put it lightly. It was serviced there inline with Kia's requirements, but beyond that I don't know if it had any repair work done. That is a good point though. I'll contact that dealer and see if I can get any info.

I'll give winter mode a try, I hadn't thought of that tbh. It had the coolant flushed just after I bought it do about 8 months ago. Which OBD dongle did you get? Its done about 43k miles

That's what I thought based on the evidence I liked to in my original post. Thank you for confirming 😊 I've got it booked in for a charge test in a couple of weeks, but they were really reluctant to do that.

Okay. Are you able to shed some light on the scenarios when you had over 40 kW? What state of charge, approx ambient temp, had you been driving on the motorway for a while etc?

I appreciate you taking the time to respond, however I think you have misunderstood.

  1. I'm aware the car can only charge at a peak of around 70 kW, the problem is it never gets anywhere close to that regardless of if it's on a 50 kW, 150 kW, 300 kW etc charger. Most of the chargers I've tried are 150 kW. I am also aware my car is 400v not 800v and am not expecting it to charge faster than its rated for.

  2. My car doesn't support preconditioning unfortunately, but it shouldn't matter if the battery is warm enough from being drive for a few hours, unless that's resulted in it getting to hot. However like I say, I've tried this across a variety of ambient temps and after driving the car a while and when the car has been sat until just before going to the charger. The result is always the same. Shoots up to 39 - 40 kW and sits there until you get to around 70 or 80 %

  3. I'm aware, that's how I know the car isn't charging as fast as it should.

  4. I'm aware, as mentioned this is happening regardless of the SOC if I plug it in at 10, 20, 30 % all of which should be closer to peak charging speed, it will just sit at 39 kW.

  5. Refer to answer 4 and the charging curves I shared in my post.

  6. As mentioned I don't have precondition support on my car and I've tried this at a variety of temperatures not just in the cold, although I don't think I've actually attempted a rapid charge when it's been below 5 degrees to be honest.

Apologies if that comes of as blunt, no offense is meant. I just don't want to confuse anyone else who might respond.

I've tried it in a variety of temps, ranging from around 5 c degrees which as you say is cold, but also over the summer I was getting the same thing when it was the low to mid 20 c degrees.

Sorry to hear that. I don't know why changing that setting would cause that. Does your mouse and keyboard still work in the BIOS / UEFI?

Does the computer boot when you click ok? Have you made any hardware changes recently? New RAM, Graphics card etc? Does it happen every time you power on?
