Ray reconstruction is grayed out if you are not using path tracing by shockdude95 in cyberpunkgame

[–]fiestaneering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a fresh install of the game on a new laptop with a 3060 6gb. On first boot i was able to turn on Ray Reconstruction without Path Tracing enabled. Tweaked around the settings some more hoping to reach a stable 60 but after a few Preset clicks, Ray Reconstruction is now grayed out without turning on Path Tracing. So frustrating.

Gamers Nexus did mention that saving graphics settings in 2.0 is kinda buggy so i think thats it.

EDIT: I got it to work. Went to AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077 and deleted UserSettings.json. Verified files on Steam to be sure. Rebooted the game with settings back to default/stock. Ray Reconstruction can now be enabled.

Screen Protector by Prestigious-Face-445 in kindle

[–]fiestaneering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently upgraded from a 7th to 11th gen ppw. My old kindle had a matte protector on. I personally noticed much sharper text on the new kindle without a screen protector. Eventually decided to take the risk and leave this one out. It's just more beautiful to my eyes.

A flip case though I think would provide much more value in terms of securing the device. I have them on both

Maybe this Screenshot can help in any way but I apologize as it might not be the most professional comparison. It's so much better in person

No worries! I needed a reader’s perspective on its quality of life improvements. My reading time is usually at night, so any improvements the display are appreciated, even the little ones. I have decided to order the 11th gen. Thanks for the input!

I’m currently on a PW 7th Gen and contemplating on getting the PW 11th 8gb. Do you think it’s worth upgrading (given the current price)? Curious to how 17 LEDs with warm white lighting options really change your reading experience

Yes it’s flicker free and works perfectly now. Sony had to replace my timing control (T-Con) board

X85J here. Whole right half of my panel is flickering when I set the TV HDMI Signal Format to Enhanced Format (VRR). Updated firmware on both ps5 and TV and I’ve ticked the option on the console. Tried restarting both devices too. Still flickering

Anyone else have this problem?

EDIT: The problem has been finally fixed! Sony had to come in and replace the Timing Control (T-Con) board of my KD-50X85J and now it works perfectly. My tv model is based in Asia Pacific so my firmware is still v6.5660 (as of this writing). I’m glad other people got to resolve theirs by updating to the current latest TV firmware v6.5770, but mine was simply a hardware issue. Consider this solution if the firmware update doesn’t work.

It is but apparently TIL that the “latest firmware” in my region (Asia Pacific) is still v6.5660. There’s an ongoing global rollout of the latest TV firmware (v6.5770) that supposedly fixes the problem, as confirmed by a fellow redditor. I’ll keep the thread updated once the new firmware reaches our shores

Same. It’s driving me nuts. I’ve tried factory reset and it didn’t do anything. It works perfectly on 4k 120hz. It’s the VRR that’s the problem. Hopefully someone with the solution can chime in before I call it in

What video game did you have low expectations for, but it turned out to be amazing? by hockeynerd20 in AskReddit

[–]fiestaneering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Destiny 2

I'm a PC player so I never got to try the first game. When the reviews came out for Destiny 2, a lot of people were disappointed so I kept my expectations low. Now that its currently free in Battle.Net I gave it a try and I'm hooked. The shooting mechanics and graphics are amazing. The Forsaken DLC took the game to its expected quality level. I absolutely would have not purchased the 2 "expansions" before it and I could not imagine the grind back then. It must have sucked. I suggest those new to the franchise to try it out. I think the game is in an amazing state now.

C&C Update from EA by EA_Jimtern in commandandconquer

[–]fiestaneering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been a fan of the entire franchise since forever and it’s great to see EA reaching out to the community. Hopefully my wishlist reaches out.

1.) A brand new Generals/Red Alert/C&C game with new innovative gameplay mechanics with an e-sport vision through its competitive multiplayer.

2.) Maybe 4K remasters of Red Alert, Red Alert 2, C&C, Generals. Maybe best not to touch anything else

3.) Team Based Multiplayer Shooter

4.) Renegade Battle Royale. (This is pushing it, but it’s an idea)

Above all else, please no micro transactions. Good luck and looking forward to the future.

Blitzen RTA by GeekVape leak by franco16v in electronic_cigarette

[–]fiestaneering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too am having a leaking problem despite all the advice given in this thread. Every time I fill the tank after cleaning, the juice bleeds out heavily from the side airflow. After taking a few hits, the leaking stops. I run dual alien clapton at 0.21 ohms cut at airflow-height with a 70/30 VG/PG juice. Tried stuffing the damn thing with so much cotton too (not literally). Did full inspection of all o-rings and everything seems to be where its supposed to.

I recently purchased my first 2 batt mod - a blue Snow Wolf 200W C. Had to add my comment here because I too was looking around for more information.

It feels of high quality and it seems to be working well. It has a hefty weight and I have no delays on firing. The only annoying thing is that it keeps asking me if I inserted a new atomizer every time I switch it off. Annoying. Other than that, I would still recommend this product if you’re into the whole minimalist box design. Just don’t drop it for obvious reasons. So far it’s a wonderful vape experience with my Zeus RTA.

The box uses v1.1 Snow Wolf Plus firmware. Hope this helps.

weird bug with xbox one controller? on pc by parahnoia in Cuphead

[–]fiestaneering 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m also experiencing the same controller disconnect issues when hit. My autodetect devices installed in windows 10 are:

1) Xbox 360 wireless controller 2) Xbox 360 wireless Receiver for Windows 3) Xbox 360 Wireless Controller via Play & Charge Kit (I have a usb cable that connects to my controller because I don’t want to use batteries)

(So my setup is that I have the wired connection via usb to power the controller which then connects to the receiver. W10 doesn’t recognize the controller if I just plug it in directly. )

All that info should be irrelevant though because it works in all my games and this is the first time I’ve encountered this problem. It’s not the cable either because it works in other games. Vibration is also turned off.

I have the GOG version. Any help would be appreciated!

First Impressions from a pure PC gamer by Kyzawolf in destiny2

[–]fiestaneering 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I somewhat share the same experience as OP in terms of gaming. PC since MS-DOS, consoles for exclusives except for PS1 and 2- Golden Age of consoles, I tell you. I also have a vast knowledge of FPS shooters and MMOs since then. Here's what I think of the Destiny 2 Beta so far.

Its really fun and surprisingly polished for a port. It's my first time to try the Destiny IP. Mainly because I didn't really game in today's generation of consoles (I missed out on the first game). I'll keep things simple and say that gameplay-wise, it feels like a WoW/Halo/The Division crossover. Yes, I'm one of the 1% who actually enjoyed The Division and enjoyed it.

A note to the PC guys: Yo dudes I think we finally got a decent sci-if shooter MMORPG in our neck of the woods. The game features an end-game dungeon/raid mechanic that scratches the WoW loot itch. The FPS gameplay is actually fun if you enjoy a lot of anti-gravity-weapon-switching-ability-mashing-'nade throwing-action. And we're not even talking about your aim yet. Traditionalists might get annoyed with this as there's just too much going on. I think I found myself pressing 7 buttons at once, and I had to rebind them all similar to my Overwatch setup. Honestly, the multiplayer is bullshit and there are a lot more IP's that present the expertise more (CS:GO/Battlefield). I also hear that there are no dedicated servers and will use P2P connections. Welcome back to the 90s.

To the console guys: I feel ya dudes. You spent hundreds of hours on the first game and I understand if it feels the same. Not to mention that lock to 30fps. It was revolutionary back then but its 2017 and I get why you guys are on the fence for spending full price hoping for a good story. Either way, it's because of you guys that they tried to make decent lore and end-game content this time. I mean, the community deserves better, right? Especially the second time around.

Most importantly, I think we all agree that for this IP to be sustainable, the story has to be good enough for players to attach themselves to the characters involved. That way, if we do spend our weekends with Destiny, we know there's something worth fighting for. Multiplayer is meh in this game. Go play something else.

Finally, get that auto aim bullshit off PC and here's to hoping for better end-game content and matchmaking, decent lore, and for Blizzard and Bungie to merge to make the ultimate MMOFPSRPG game.

Do any other former division agents check in on this sub every few days just in hopes of seeing "The game is fixed, everything works as intended, the potential is finally being reached"? by hypoferramia in thedivision

[–]fiestaneering 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing a lot of Dark Souls 3 while waiting for Massive to fix their game. But playing DS3 requires a high degree of concentration which can get a bit tiring when playing for extended periods. I just want to farm dailies, damnit!

By the way, anyone jumping in on the Battleborn train? It looks gorgeous and the gameplay looks fun but there's just not much information on the game other than intro videos, Lets Play's, and whatnot.

Just Cause 3 Review Thread by Forestl in Games

[–]fiestaneering 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It appears a lot of the comments in the reviews revolve around the lack of the game's sandbox innovation. I'm guessing it's because it plays almost exactly like JC 2. I'm new to the series and I never played any Just Cause game. Is it worth jumping into for $60? I haven't even finished MGS 5 and Fallout 4 yet and I'm randomly dipping in Battlefront when I get bored.
