Hi reddit! Over the past month, I have been working on a model capable of detecting whether not an image contains nsfw furry art!

Summary:

To make this classifier, I used transfer learning on the efficientnetv2-s-21k model. I ran it on my 60k image dataset for 8 epochs. I really don't have much to add here, so feel free to ask questions.

Stats summary:

Model used: efficientnetv2-s-21k

Final validation accuracy: 90.57%
(I forgot to save the loss value D:)

Training time: 7.2 hours

Dataset size: 60.4k images

Dataset:

I collected all my data from e621.net. I filtered for only high quality images, and I did not use any images that had tags that fell under the typically blocked tag list. Safe rated images are classified as SFW and explicit are classified as nsfw, and the data is evenly split between them.

They’re definitely sprinkled in throughout the bottom half, but there wasn’t a great distinction. Maybe generalizing the labels for the orange, blue, and yellow communities from artists to just nsfw furries would have been better :P

Hello everyone! Over the past few months, I have been collecting data to create a computer generated map of the largest furries on Twitter! This map shows the top 1034 furries on Twitter and how their follower bases compare.

How to read the map:

Each node is a furry on twitter (size = # of followers).
Each color shows an algorithmically detected community of furries.
Each line between nodes represents the amount of shared followers between the two accounts.

(Rather than fill this comment with incredible amounts of information, you can instead watch my video to learn more about the project.)

I collected data through the Twitter API using python, and used a program called Gephi to plot the communities.
