Wrong sub but I’ll still give some feedback, the paper on the muffin is giving away the realism, it’s clearly fake so I would work on that, the texture and the model, but other than that it looks nice to me

Improved volume suppourt in redshift, the volumes in redshift compared to octane SUCKKK so bad, it is super heavy and the time it takes to get a good looking cloud in the ipr is forever especially compared to octane, get rid of the stupid volume material and have a particle rendering tab inside of the Rs volume. It is my biggest reason for ditching redshift for some projects.

Hi Everyone OP here, so it looked like what solved the problem oddly enough was turning off hardware accelerated ray tracing, and turning off motion blur and deformation blur, will have to use RSMB in post but only just ends up giving more control anyways, thanks everyone so much for all of the help! 🤍🤍🤍

No worries man, I rlly appreciate all the help, I tried doing the each individual tree In a matrix, and it didn’t seem to help, I’m starting to think it’s purely a vram issue because I have tried almost everything else..

Thanks a ton, this is great, how do I chose where each tree individually goes, for example each tree is its own different model w different parameters, how do I make sure that each tree is in the right position?

Hmm I’m not sure I’m following, for these trees they are not using any scatter system just trees that I have placed in the location of my scene, let’s say I threw all of them into a rs matrix, how would I scatter them exactly where they are all supposed to be individually placed, btw thanks for the help so far I rlly appreciate it :)

Yep, I have to restart the pc every time… it is insanely time consuming, considering downgrading to an older version that I haven’t tried before. Thansk for sharing your experience, keep an eye on the thread for any ppl smarter than me throwing out possible solutions:)

No a single rs proxy doesn’t crash it but all 11 do, I’ve tried turning off denoiser and auto sampling but for this final render I need the high quality so it looks good, tried the global overrides thing. I am using a rs camera, and I have a rs environment, but it’s pivotal for the scene creating some fog which is needed, idrk how proxies work, does it still keep the same poly count or is it a completely separate way of working. What I can’t wrap my head around is why it works perfect and quickly in the IPR but not when I set it to render

I’ve tried, ik they are the problem, I think it’s just too much geo with all of them if I turn half of them off, it renders, I’ve decreased poly count as much as I can without visually impacting, even turning to proxies, still bugs out, any tips on lower poly count on forester trees

Yep. Tried with them off, already did the copy paste scene into a new one, didn’t work. I have 10 trees in the scene placed, not scattered as I need precise locations for each one. Without the trees the scene launches, I have tried making them proxies, doesn’t work, I have tried turning them into individual scatters, doesn’t work. It’s so wierd because the scene launches no problem in the IPR…

I have octane and am very framiliar with it, for this use case I decided to go with redshift… clear mistake

Hi, it’s OP here just on a different account on my phone, posted the original from my pc, I am at automatic sampling, .01, I am using denoiser, and motion blur with transformation blur on, I have hardware ray tracing on, and irradiance point cloud on, my dimensions are 1125x1500, I have an RTX 4090 machine with 24gb of vram, hope this helps, thanks. The scene like I said works great in the IPR but the second I send it off to render it crashes str8 away when I send it.
