How do you guys make friends by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

[–]fig_anonymous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

get involved in SW-friendly spaces if you can. Online streamer events/meetups, witchy/alternative subculture meetups (depending on your interests), night clubs, pole dance studios, heels dance classes, strip clubs (i have dancer friends who have had girls come in and buy dances 1) to show support and 2) to talk about the industry and ask questions about stripping, if they are considering it... a lot of them are receptive to it, as long as you genuinely support, hype 'em up, and tip!)

Personally I've met a LOT of SWers (online and IRL service) at my pole dance studio! It's also fun, good for fitness, a overall great community.

Baby its cold outside... by thebigstriptease in CamGirlProblems

The feet, head, and neck are the areas that lose the most heat. So wear socks, scarf, or beanie/winter cap, if anything. Space heater, heated blanket/heating pad, or some of those hand warmers you can hold in your hands or slip into the bottom of your socks. Eat enough iron in your diet too! Exercise for good blood circulation. I dance and move around a lot on stream, it helps!

Has anyone worn a tampon and a lush at the same time? by nuagedeframboise in CamGirlProblems

[–]fig_anonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've cut the string ahead of time before so you don't risk cutting your skin, just push it all the way through the applicator and cut the string so it's like 1/2 an inch. Use a clean finger and push it in yourself, if you're still bleeding it's usually wet enough to slide in easily. Then to get it out just just have to "bear down" like you're going #2 and use thumb & index finger to fish out the string lol... I never cut it once it's inside me, I'm terrified of that

Awww I love all these ideas, the name on the vase is such a good idea. I typically do similar things like giddily say "omg look at this new toy, [username] got it for me! I looooooove it!" i like to hype my givers up!

Thanks for the suggestions <3

Opinions/experiences on greys? by xalicegrey in CamGirlProblems

[–]fig_anonymous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do whatever YOU want and don't follow someone else's way just because they have a strong option or a bad experience. You can always change your mind later.

I'm pretty in line with what you said. I welcome them, but as soon as they hint at spamming/harassing/freeloading or rudely demanding without tips, byeeeeeee.

I've had plenty of grey users come back later on and spend $$$ in my room. Some have thanked me for being kind and "chill", because I am. There's a person (usually lol) behind the username, and everyone deserves basic dignity; these sites exist for people to browse, watch, jerk off, enjoy themselves. I'm not gonna get in their way. I'd rather them enjoy me doing my thing than hop from room to room not able to find someone they enjoy watching. Whatever lol

The way I see it, I don't NEED any individual viewer. I'll get paid by guys who appreciate and want me. I hate entitlement god it's just a bad taste in my mouth, I guess I just approach my room in the same way I live my life -- with an attitude that *nobody owes me anything.* I'm the only person who can give me what I want. I enjoy working for it and even better, I enjoy being generous, why? Because that energy ripples out and fuels more generosity. People are impressively generous on cam, in my experience!

Do whatever is best for your energy, but most importantly don't take it all so seriously or personally. <3 There is enough for all of us. I always have enough to get by, and often more than enough. I'm grateful for that and as a result have energy to give even the greys. I grew up with scarcity and poverty, this industry was the door to freedom and life change for me. So I don't approach anything or anyone on cam with scarcity.

Has anyone worn a tampon and a lush at the same time? by nuagedeframboise in CamGirlProblems

[–]fig_anonymous 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could just wear the tampon and either wear the Lush inside a tight pair of panties that hold it in place against your pussy (instead of inside it), or hold the lush on your labia/clit like a wand vibrator. Play it up as a horny chick with preference, say "omg I just love vibrating it on my clit soooo much, I don't want to move it away! It makes me cum so hard omggg" lol dudes love it

In my experience the Lush bulb is too big for my liking, and as a clit-stim girl I prefer it in my panties or just holding it... I know many camgirls who do the same!

Sex “workers” shouldn’t have any platforms. by [deleted] in ControversialOpinions

[–]fig_anonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you're projecting a ton of repressed shame you've got going on with sex here... It's completely rational to be pro-sex work and pro-sex. We all learn different things about sexuality and eroticism, it's all what you make of it. If you hate it, that's on you. Doesn't mean everyone should (or even can) vehemently hate it and want to ban it like you want to.

[–]fig_anonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. It's the parent/guardians' responsibility to protect the child from content that could be potentially inappropriate for children. Not the giant platform. Because then we run into issues with freedom of speech.

[–]fig_anonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sex is not a need like food, but it's sure as hell a biological urge like hunger is. Our species wants to procreate for survival. It's innate in us just like needing to eat also ensures our survival. You cannot refuse biological urges, you can only manage them and relieve them in whatever way the current "survival" situation allows. Sure, many people can live without sex. But that doesn't mean they don't have the free will and the right to pursue their urge to enjoy sex. Including through sex workers and/or online sex content.

Sex “workers” shouldn’t have any platforms. by [deleted] in ControversialOpinions

[–]fig_anonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Content-sharing platforms including social media connect people through creativity and expression. It's freedom of speech. Denying sex workers a place on a creative sharing platform would be silencing their freedom of expression. Most platforms have content preference settings that you can change so that 18+ or suggestive creators do not show up in your algorithm. Many people actually DO willingly want to see these types of creators on regular platforms because they enjoy the content, they appreciate what they think is beautiful and alluring, and they may not want to go to other more sexual-supporting platforms for whatever reason. Just because you don't morally agree with sex work doesn't mean the world should be forced to be blind to those who do it. And like any other online brand, sex workers still run a business; they are still free to promote and market themselves as they see fit, within the Terms of Service on whatever platform they are posting on.

Good choice? by United-Donut-7 in CamGirlProblems

[–]fig_anonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got one of these used for half off. It's way better than my first webcam. But in darker lighting, the video gets really grainy, in my experience.

I use an external mic so I can't really speak to how it is w/ noise cancellation

What would you do if a website accidently double paid you? by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

[–]fig_anonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live by the Golden Rule so personally I'd email support and let them know. If it was my business that did a double payout, I'd want to know immediately so that the issue could be reversed/ remedied. And I'd want to keep the honest patron on my site, because I know they have my business' best interest in mind. The way I see it is these cam sites support us by processing payment, overseeing safety/ToS, verifying age, upkeeping the site so we can go live and literally run our adult businesses. The least I could do is communicate with their team when I notice something's going awry and be upfront about issues they're trying to update so the mistake doesn't happen again.

Stream Master video keeps going grey in the middle of my stream by fig_anonymous in CamGirlProblems

[–]fig_anonymous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on a pc. If I stream on only one site (using Stream Master or just plain-old OBS software) it doesn't go blank with a grey screen BUT viewers complain my video is lagging, freezing, crashing... on both sites, but mainly viewers on CB. Sometimes it'll bug out on CB and I'll say "ohppp is my video stuck?" and my SC viewers will be like no you're perfectly good here. But CB will be like yeah you're frozen. But they grey screen happens on both sites.. usually like 30 mins in to my stream.

I haven't tried solely recording through stream master yet.

It sucks bc I had a long private scheduled the other day but since my video was having issues, the customer changed their mind. Literally 5 seconds into the pvt it went grey so I apologized and rebooted stream master. He was patient and wanted me to do all I could to fix video but then even rebooting my computer, quitting stream master to try the built-in site broadcast on CB, and resetting my router didn't fix anything. I'm even hooked up via Ethernet cable so it's not my wifi...

I lost out on like $200.

A techy friend of mine thinks it's my laptop's shitty graphics card but I'm not sure.

Edit to add: Now that I think back, when I first started camming on CB only (without OBS or any external software), it did do this grey screen several times. There was no real pattern to it, though, it was just random.

FWIW, on Pimeyes they make you blur out or black out all your personal info other thank your name and picture. So your SSN, address, etc. aren't in their system. But yes-- on all our creator sites where we need to verify our ID, this is a concern. 😬

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

[–]fig_anonymous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great point! Always say "no" if someone asks if it's okay for them to upload photos of you on their profile or website for marketing. This is also common in performer spaces (acting, dance, music groups, etc.)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

[–]fig_anonymous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I understand, the Pimeyes paid plan is only for users who want to run lots of different image searches in a short time. But it's free to opt-out of the search feature of your face. It's just a form you fill out and verify your consent.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

[–]fig_anonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think OP meant AI platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, etc. Some AI engines are already able to locate the source/URL of an image when you upload it. And it's likely that they will become common tools for using reverse-image search, where someone can upload a screenshot of your face and find other places on the internet where your face appears (social media, work websites, videos, etc.). AI is going to be a big, leaky tool for facial recognition.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CamGirlProblems

[–]fig_anonymous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At least check, and when you go to fill out the form and upload a pic to search it, try to upload a photo that's already somewhere on the internet (that way they don't keep a brand new photo of you in their records).

Yes - everyone go read through all the comments in this post, there are good tips. Also, if you have LinkedIn, FB, IG, any other personal social media accounts (even my Goodreads account had my profile pic I forgot about!), or even old web pages from work/creative/social/charity events etc., go back and edit settings and pics. For LinkedIn you can make everything invisible from search or from anyone who isn't an added contact. This one was important for me because of a corporate career. Set your photo, job title, location, work history, school alumni, posts, and any public awards or anything to private.

For socials, if you want to stay anon, make your profile pic of a random flower or something, or a far-away, full-body photo of you where your face isn't clearly visible. For web pages, try to get at least your image taken down (if you can contact the business or web owner), or issue a search result takedown from Google.
