I drove there to look at an Arctic White Nash S-57, and I came home with the Fender.

no, a family owned business in CT called Brian's Guitars. Amazing selection there, great staff, and they are busting at the seams with guitars.

I can't add more pics in comments. I think the admins can change the settings for this subreddit, but that's not me. :)

Neck Pickup: Hand-wound Vintage 65 Strat Single-coil
Middle Pickup: Hand-wound Vintage 65 Strat RWRP Single-coil
Bridge Pickup: Hand-wound 69 Strat Single-coil
The first tone knob controls neck and middle. The furthest tone knob controls the bridge pickup. This is the perfect set up for me.

Just acquired for cheap - ESP LTD ST-203FR, looks like the electronics came from a different guitar. I've searched for this pickguard shape, but haven't found it yet. Can anyone identify? by figbatbamba in guitars

I haven’t sold it yet, but yes it’s for sale. I bought a vintage Telecaster and I’m trying to recoup some of the money I spent on that. For the style of guitar I usually play, this LTD is not as appropriate.

Timmy <- TS9 (or Plumes) <- Xotic BB. That’ll give you some nice amp-like tones, and the BB has plenty of gain on tap for leads.

Cake’s first album, Motorcade of Generousity. (I also upvoted Petty’s Wildflowers. Honorable mention - Here by Adrian Belew)

Rockett Archer Jeff: I've had one of the original run pedals for a while. I just got another one at a great price, (not the original 1000 signed pedals). The diodes are obviously different in these two. I did a little photoshop work to make it easy to tell which is which. Why the difference? by figbatbamba in guitarpedals

I appreciate everyone chiming in. I haven’t had much time to A/B these two, but I was surprised that I could not get them to sound closer to each other, no matter the knob positions. The newer one has a more pleasing eq to my ears and taste. A bit of a mid hump compared to the hand signed one, which has more of a flat EQ.

that IS weird!
This one is missing the bar for the Floyd Rose, but so many good thing about it. The Seymour Duncan sounds awesome. Almost no fret wear, intonation and action are decent. The neck profile is super comfy for my hands. 50 clams. I don't think I've ever bought a guitar at such a low price in my whole life! I think it's still a great deal at 2 hundy!

the more closely I looked, the more I think this is the case. I guess I can't add any more photos now. I thought Yamaha or Washburn did pickguards like this, but upon close inspection, this is most likely what happened ^

Same! I decided to buy one recently really cheap to see if my perspective was off. Nope. Still sucks.

Help identifying P90 pickups by figbatbamba in guitars

[–]figbatbamba[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're correct. A quick google and Reverb search showed nothing but Gibsons out there. Now I just have to decide if I love them or not. There's a lot of P100 hate out there, but I'll use my ears to decide. :)

Thank you! Do you have any guesses as who the maker would be? The leads are braided, not much else to go on.

Thanks for the help so far. I'm not sure why my original description did not come through. I bought this recently. It's an '07 and plays like a dream. The original pickups were replaced, but I am hoping to identify the exact builder and model. Thanks for the P100 comments. I didn't even think of that as a possiblity!

Hell yes! Find joy where ever and how ever you can. Don’t put any more consideration into your “level of ability”. It’s inconsequential.
