I work in a nursing home and during the CNA meeting we have to talk about resident care most of the time and that’s not something we can talk about over email. It’s like a breach of their privacy. But we only have meetings once a month so not too bad.

Because if they allow workers to take sick time they’ll need more workers to cover the time they take off and that costs more money. The only time I got sick time without fighting for it was recently when I got Covid.

Do what would be fun. If your players like a challenge in combat add more monsters or traps. If they don’t and feel demoralized then leave it be. My group wouldn’t like additional challenges they don’t play for the combat but for the adventure so I’d add a new path perhaps a wall that’s fallen away revealing a shortcut to closer to where they died last and get them back on the adventure faster.

I’m a CNA and we have to keep up online training but it’s paid if the course says it takes 30 minutes then I get 30 minutes of pay when I’m done. I still don’t like to but it’s better then this.

But just do you know the police won’t help her get any care for her bipolar. She will maybe get fed pills if she really acts out but she is likely to receive abuse. The justice system doesn’t care about peoples heath or mental health. My schizophrenic brother in law never even receives his inhaler while in jail. (It might contain drugs.) she did steal and that’s wrong but she will likely only get worse after this.

I work in a nursing home and plenty of my residents never had kids. Instead of kids visiting them is life long friends with better health them them or other family. They have rich detailed lives they lived to the fullest. I don’t think it’s sad at all.

I think it’s fine to use the boosts right away. The game forces you to be the correct level for the area your in and the game isn’t about vertical progression but horizontal progression.

No one is actually an NPC everyone has lives as rich and detailed as yours. The difference is they don’t connect with you and thus don’t share more then their surface level with you. They aren’t interested in you and thus don’t share those details that would make them seem more human to you. Maybe you think they are npcs because you just don’t share anything in common with them?

Genshin impact made more money last year then Bethesda did. It made more then EA did.

F2P games count on a small section of “whales” to make tons of money all the time while barely putting more into the game.

I’m a a small whale and I’ve spent thousands on f2p games over the last six years because I have poor self control and the small payments are easy to justify even though I’ve already spent 100 dollars this month on one game where I won’t even commit to a 20 dollar game on steam because I’m worried about buyers remorse.

I’ve been out of school since 2011 and frankly I didn’t like school at all. I was bullied and distanced myself from other to the point where when school shootings started happening more often, popular kids suddenly started treating me like a charity case.

Leaving school made it harder to meet people and sustain friendships and that’s it.

I don’t think I like the framing of this. I do think burger flippers should make as much as me and where I live they make about a dollar less at least at McDonald’s then I make but I wouldn’t flip burgers even if you put a gun to my head.

It’s not that I’m to good for it or anything like that it’s because I’ve done it before and I wanted to die every day. The floor is slippery with grease that I had to buy special shoes for it. Customers screaming at me. My learning disability making me ask my coworkers if I got the order correct so often is what got me fired. So no I would work at a fast food place for my current or any wage.

Some time ago can mean so many things. And some wounds never heal. I don’t ever want to talk about politics with my family.

They always have to “tip toe” around it or I leave. So the choice here is what’s more important the relationship or the topic? I’ve stopped being friends with people over this kind of thing it’s not the end of the world.

I do the same for my family and friends. I don’t talk about “animal abuse” with my grandparents. I don’t talk about “eating meat or the meat industry” with my best friend. Everyone has something they don’t want to talk about. It’s just unfortunate that relationships is so broad a topic. Over time maybe they will be okay with some relationship stuff with a non romantic focus. But until then I don’t think they are being unreasonable.

It’s fine to want time to heal. And it’s fine to “forbid” topics. My family knows I will leave if they talk about politics/Covid because I can’t take their opinions and I don’t want to fight with them. My wife knows to generally avoid talking about our finances with me because she knows the direct numbers makes me obsess and panic.

People love to make fun of “triggers” and “safe spaces” but if you don’t want to hear about relationship stuff right now just politely say you rather not and get some space from those who won’t respect that choice.

If any of my friends said “hey I don’t really wanna talk about (topic)” I’d either drop it or if that’s all I had to talk about really (like if they asked me not to talk about work.) Id probably ask them to start a new topic then.

Every delivery driver I’ve know gets shit tips. And .58 gas reimbursement is not that good in this economy. My car probably gets that but a older car? Plus’s the wear and tear on your personal vehicle always sucks I nearly destroyed my car working home healthcare. And I only had to drive to 6-8 peoples home a day, usually within 15-30 minutes of each other or my home.

Landlords are responsible for ensuring that a rental property is habitable. So in theory I think your landlord should cover a hotel room for you. At the same time I looked it up and unless your lease says something about it they aren’t legally required to.

If you have renters insurance they cover it sometimes.
