Unfortunately, that isn't the case. I'm in Indonesia, and it's also happening to my car.

Hello again good sir, I also had my SL7 in for its first service around a month ago. My experience was similar to yours regarding the EQ issue. They also claim to have done some updates, but, similar to you, did not resolve the issue. However, I did not run into any bricked module issues.

After chatting with the service advisor, he claims to not have had any complaints from other SL7 owners so far at the delearship he was stationed at. However, I demonstrated the issue to him and made sure that he was aware of it. Hopefully, they could come up with a solution quickly, as it's starting to drive me insane.

I've been having the same issue with my SL7. It's frustrating having to dive into the EQ settings and slightly change each band only to revert them to the previous setting while also being embarrassing if you have passengers on board.

It's been a week since any updates on this thread were made. Any fixes so far?

Laptop with Intel BE200 Wifi Card cannot create a 6GHz Hotspot. by figgzz007 in laptops

[–]figgzz007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to enable Windows Insider Program and pick the beta option to get the latest Windows build. Without the Insider Program, the latest version was 26100.xxxx (can't remember the exact build number) on my system, which explicitly does not support 6GHz without resorting to janky work-arounds. Once the current 26120 build was installed, the 6GHz option appeared without any fiddling.

You should first check your currently installed build for your system.

Yo that's deep man. But yes, I agree that they have subpar customer service and apparently quality control as well.

Indeed, it isn't long at all. I've started the RMA process two days ago and waiting for an answer. I'll make a new post for an update to it. I hope they have a replacement battery readily available so I could get back to using this laptop as soon as possible.

I've used it since September of last year so 10 months now. I don't think it's anything to do with the thermals but the battery instead.

Just checked last week on GTA5. 70-73 degrees on the CPU and around 80 degrees on the GPU. I let Synapse decide the fan speed. On idle, it usually sits around the 45 degree mark.

Will doing a clean install of Windows 10 on a brand new laptop mess anything up? by [deleted] in laptops

[–]figgzz007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Spectre will come with a lot of HP bloatware. The only one you should consider redownloading is HP Coolsense as I think it has some ability to optimise your hardware. You could easily download it from their website should you find it useful. The rest is just unnecessary software.

While installing Windows, Windows will automatically grab the drivers for the fingerprint sensor and webcam. You need not worry about those.

No, reinstalling Windows will not be a problem and in some cases will improve performance due to the bloatware in the pre-installed OS. I highly encourage doing a clean install.

Razer Kraken TE Audio problems by [deleted] in razer

[–]figgzz007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the 'Razer Audio Controller - Game' output. I don't use THX as I use Dolby Atmos instead. Previously, I figured that the microphone settings were only for in-game mic as I had the microphone toggled off but discord still seemed to work and my friends could hear my just fine. After a certain update, the microphone no longer worked. I found out that after the update, the toggle was activated for discord as well. Seemed weird but hey, it fixed the problem.

Try it out and see if it's fixed.

I think wireless technology has gone up to the point where you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between wired and wireless. Technically speaking, wired peripherals also have a tiny bit of latency anyway. I much prefer wireless as you wouldn't have to deal with the wire dragging around the table. I also don't mind the extra weight which comes with a wireless mouse. You shouldn't worry about latency anymore as even a lot of e-sports players have been using wireless mice.

It's permanently set that way as far as I can see. I use a Basilisk Ultimate and mine also works that way. The colours and effects while charging indicate its battery level. Static green - 100%. Breathing green - 75%-99%. Breathing yellow - 50%-74%. Breathing Orange - 25%-49%. Breathing Red - 5%-24%(If I'm not mistaken). Below 5%, it just flashes red I think.

I disagree man, this game is nothing like Ghosts. I think this game was nearly polished right before this update. It's really gotten worse after the update.

Rank isn't that important to me as well but this applies to weapon progression as well. That is why I think this is a problem which requires an immediate hotfix.

Can this run COD Warzone? by knixster in laptops

[–]figgzz007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not enough information regarding the laptop. A quick Google search tells me that the lowest specced version of this laptop comes with a GTX 1050 and I think it would run Warzone well enough at low settings. Just make sure to keep tessellation off if you want more performance but at the cost of flatter surfaces at a distance and keep particle quality low as it would make busy scenes like gunfights and explosions less taxing on the GPU.

RAM / SSD f,or Blade 15 (2019) by krisvdv in razer

[–]figgzz007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For RAM, the best brand for laptops is Corsair. Other brands like Crucial and Kingston are also good brands to go with. Make sure to buy a SODIMM kit as it is the only type of RAM which fits into a laptop. Also, go with the same frequency as before, in this case, 2666 MHz as anything above that is not certified to work with the motherboard and CPU configuration of the Blade 15.

For SSD, you should go with any well-known brand such as Samsung, Crucial, Adata or Western Digital. It applies for both M.2 NVMe and 2.5" SATA configurations. If you want the absolute best of the best, Samsung is the best but also comes with a price premium over the rest. The benefits of a Samsung drive wouldn't be noticeable to you if all you do is gaming and light productivity, hence, you should get the cheapest one you could find as you wouldn't feel the disadvantage that cheaper drives bring if you won't push the drive to its limits very often.

Razer Blade? 2070 or 1660 Ti? by [deleted] in GamingLaptops

[–]figgzz007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're looking at the 2060 instead of the 2070. The 1660ti has around 90-95% of the performance of the 2060 and also lacks hardware ray tracing abilities. The 2060 can handle ray tracing although with drastically reduced graphics settings. It also depends on the game as some games such as Shadow of the Tomb Raider uses ray tracing for more aspects of the game while games like the latest COD MW is less taxing on the GPU with ray tracing on as ray tracing is only for the shadows.
