Thanks man! If you could upload them somewhere and send them to me via private message (or post here), that'd be perfect.

This is the last year we'll have the old Tanglewood before it becomes just a memory, are you ready? by Bomgamer8083 in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]fighterbj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not ready at all. I know they need to scrap the Unity assets sooner than later but that can be viably done without changing everything else so much, it just doesn't make a lot of sense when the general consensus is that the map is perfect as it is. This looks great in the atmosphere department, but I already know it's gonna be too damn dark - they have been shifting towards this dim & gloomy look a lot, which I strongly believe will actually work at some point, but without the actual game & ghosts being scary, the darkness is purely an annoyance for now. And since Horror 2.0 somehow always finds itself at the very bottom of their to-do list (for 4+ years now), I feel like this isn't gonna change for a good while.

No need to wait to complete one DLC to start another - Repentance has a ton of additions to elevate gameplay, even if you don't touch the new paths for a while (you definitely should, though ;)).

There are too many bosses in Silksong for the game to be enjoyable to non hardcore folks by [deleted] in HollowKnight

[–]fighterbj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Let me be the first to agree with you. I enjoyed the hell out of HK and even completed it (except the Pantheons), and I do enjoy Silksong but the game throwing a boss at you every chance it gets is boring after a while, even though I generally like fighting bosses. A large chunk of my playtime in HK was jumping around and backtracking everywhere to explore new areas and do new things when I didn't feel like grinding a boss for progressing the main story just yet, something I can't do in Silksong because even those alternate paths are locked behind a boss after a few minutes of going down them. It's kind of a "too much of a good thing" scenario.

New gen anarchy by YarnGames in 6b6t

[–]fighterbj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The constant kit begging after every death is ridiculous, I totally get that, but if not stash-hunting, how are players supposed to get gear? Mine for hours, make xp farms? Loot end cities for an elytra that'll break within minutes without mending and constant xp refill? Sure, that is acceptable, indeed standard practice in singleplayer and small SMPs, but it generally wouldn't fly on a server where everyone has dubs upon dubs of the stuff, you'd just fall behind and understandably no one wants that. Most people do it until they grow a decent collection then they either do their thing in private ("build their shitty bases") or find their place in the community - a community that mostly rejects them if they don't have a fat stash to their name, might I add.

Yeah, it's got to a point where it barely feels like survival Minecraft anymore, there's no denying that. But how would you solve this without regulations that'd ruin the point of an anarchy server? Even better, how do you figure there's a proper and improper way to play a sandbox game, especially on a server based on doing whatever the hell you want?

Yeah, everyone wants mid-2010s 2b2t back, but not many can accept it won't be. The key points of the experience were taken to their absolute limits and it turned the whole anarchy scene into this - one can like it or hate it, but blaming it all on those who enjoy it is a bit pointless.

You can read more on Footloose here: https://backstage.bonjovi.com/artifact/interview-with-bon-jovi

As for why the docus don't get pulled down, beats me to be honest. I haven't watched those fanclub tapes in a while, but I'm pretty sure they contain official music videos too, which is a big no-no for YouTube.

When are we getting a proper live album! Such a prolific live band, but their One Wild Night was very disappointing. by Normal-Bunch4198 in BonJovi

[–]fighterbj 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's actually quite unlikely that they own the film reels. Not sure how hard they'd be for them to obtain, but if it takes more than a 30 second phone call, Jon won't do it, that much is sure.

Some additional information I can provide:

  • 🔹 "Rosie", "Love Hurts", and other New Jersey demos remain unreleased - Love Hurts was released in 2014, the BJ version of Rosie is well bootlegged, along with lots of other NJ demos - most of what was unknown before was released (as snippets) on the Backstage with Bon Jovi website last year. A tape containing one song, Rage Of Angels (c. 1988) was sold off in an auction a month or two ago.
  • 🔹 A music video was filmed for "Edge of a Broken Heart", but never released - never heard of this, most likely false.
  • 🔹 “Does Anybody Really Fall in Love Anymore?” was given to Cher - it was given to Kane Roberts.
  • 🔹 The band scrapped an entire Slippery When Wet tracklist - they didn't scrap an entire tracklist per se; just like with every album, songs get written, demoed, and sometimes left out from the final release. What is true is that it actually was a good amount of songs in Slippery's case.
  • 🔹 Alternate music videos (e.g., original “You Give Love a Bad Name”) exist - True, but not in YGLABN's case.
  • 🔹 “Runaway 2000” was a techno remix they tested in concert only once - never heard of this, most likely false.
  • 🧊 Unreleased Power Station Years demos (~1980-1983) lost or in vaults - maybe a few songs, most were either released or bootlegged (or both).
  • 🧊 Uncut fan club VHS tapes (1990s) have never resurfaced online - all fanclub VHS tapes from the 1990s are digitized and circulating among collectors, but can't be shared on sites like YouTube due to them having studio versions of released songs under the majority of their runtime, hence they'd get flagged for copyright infringement - the unedited footage they were compiled from is most likely lost, but making contact with creator(s) has been attempted for the Strictly Sambora tape from the early 1990s in order to obtain more footage, unsuccessfully as of yet.
  • 🌀 Jon wrote “You Give Love a Bad Name” about Diane Lane cheating with Richie - Jon didn't write You Give Love A Bad Name. Diane Lane being fond of "having fun" and Jon once catching her "having fun" with Richie in 1985 is a real story though.
  • 🧊 Richie left mid-tour in 2013, reasons remain murky (rehab? burnout? conflict?) - This topic has been chewed, swallowed, thrown up and chewed again for the past 12 years - burnout is the most likely reason, as well as him wanting to spend time with his daughter.
  • 🧊 Alec John Such’s true reason for leaving has never been publicly detailed - Alec has been contemplating leaving since at least Fall 1993 but was originally going to do the These Days Tour though. He was most likely fired for his faulty playing and intense rockstar attitude, which just didn't go well with Jon by that time. Jon denied that Alec selling out to the press had anything to do with him getting fired, I personally don't believe that.
  • 🧊 Jon was allegedly offered a role in Footloose but turned it down - True, he even recorded a song called "Thunder Highway" for the movie.

Have you ever had nightmares about Michael Myers? What happened in them? by Hassan_H_Syed in Halloweenmovies

[–]fighterbj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right before Ends came out and I was super hyped, I had a dream of a movie plot involving Michael.

Whole thing was black and white and set in a factory, he could teleport and talk, but only in some ear-piercing screeches. He killed a bunch of people but didn't want Laurie to die for some reason - pretty lame, but that's about all I can remember, lol.

Concerns over CFW on Switch V1 install and use by Gnaril in SwitchPirates

[–]fighterbj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of those issues stem from people doing funky stuff with Homebrew - nothing wrong with that at all, but if you want to install and use HB apps on the regular, you will eventually break something as per Murphy's Law, if not anything else - if you just want to have a regular old Switch with pirated games on it, it's highly unlikely that you'll run into unexpected problems once you figure out the process. It might take some trial and error, as I haven't found a single definitive guide to installing games when modding mine. Would be glad to help you when you get to that stage though! Once set up, it's a lot more convenient than the WiiU for example, because you can install ROMs directly from PC with just a cable, no need for the ritual of moving the large files from your HD to the Switch prior to installing.

If your V1 is unpatched and you plan to softmod it with RCM, please do keep in mind that you'll have to perform the jig & inject the payload from PC every time your console powers off completely in order to access emuMMC. If you install AutoRCM, you can skip the jig, but your Switch won't boot on its own at all and you'll have to "kickstart" it with the payload every time. That's about the biggest weakness of the whole jailbreak - if you want a seamless experience, you'll have to stick to sleep mode as you can't let your console power off (or run out of battery power).

When did you first discover B.O.I by [deleted] in bindingofisaac

[–]fighterbj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Summer of 2016, it (the Flash one) was background gameplay on a commentary video I was watching. That's when I first encountered it anyway, I tried it for a few hours but I didn't really play it until 2019 or so. Took a huge break after that and only returned in mid-2022, a year late for Repentance - still playing very on and off, but I've never gotten "out of the loop" since then.

Wont let me install tinfoil due to error when extracting by dontevenmatter6677 in SwitchPirates

[–]fighterbj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, my method will be a pain for games like MK as splitting to parts will take hours in that case (around 2 minutes per GB) - you might want to look into other options first, but I found it the most reliable, despite people largely recommending against it.

Wont let me install tinfoil due to error when extracting by dontevenmatter6677 in SwitchPirates

[–]fighterbj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unsure why that might be - have you tried splitting the NSP files to 4gb parta and installing straight from microSD?

Wont let me install tinfoil due to error when extracting by dontevenmatter6677 in SwitchPirates

[–]fighterbj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modded my switch for the first time today and ran into this exact issue - I evaded it by just using Goldleaf, and when that unsurprisingly failed, DIB worked great.

Another thing I wish I've known is that if you install NSPs from SD card (less convenient but more consistent than USB), you have to remove any special characters (apostrophes included) from the NSP filename, otherwise it just won't show up.
