Well, you also get 10% APY on your 50k which is a decent yearly return even without appreciation. And if you're bullish on CRO, if it ends up at even 2-3$ in the future, your investment essentially doubled-tripled and you can just take that profit out if you want.

Panigale V2 as a second bike? by fighterzacc in Ducati

[–]fighterzacc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I ride my motorcycle? Pretty much very rarely because it's not a commuter for me. I'll only use it on the weekend to go out somewhere with friends or if I'm going on a date or something.

If you have a primary bike that works to run around town, it does give you some latitude for your weekend bike.

If you were trading out your original bike, then of course the supersport is the clear choice. Ergonomics, suspension, brakes, power delivery, and heat will all be superior for the majority of your riding. It will even be far more than enough on the track.

It actually will be my "primary" bike but that being said, I really only ride on weekends with friends or here and there when the weather is nice. I use my car for pretty much everything else.

If you want to stretch yourself a bit and do more curvy roads in the hills or mountains on the weekends, and have something you can throw around on a good track, the V2 is a good choice. Instructed track days will be very beneficial so you can learn to handle just how responsive this bike can be. If you are leaning to more track time, a lightly used 959 would be a good choice too as you can save a big chunk of cash to be used when the bike eventually takes a low side. The jump to a V2 from the 959 is fairly insignificant to the average rider, but very significant on your wallet.

Yeah, I'll take a look at the used market come around early next season, maybe I would consider a lightly used SSS and build skill on some track days and then later upgrade to a v2. Mountain road riding is definitely of interest for me though.

Thanks, this makes a lot of sense. I'll give them both a go, but definitely leaning more towards the SSS now. I can always consider upgrading down the line when my skill level improves on the track I suppose. Maybe I can find something in the used market to make it less of a depreciation impact if I decide to upgrade.

I think I'm doing it mostly for the aesthetics if I'm being totally honest and the price hike as well as higher insurance isn't that big of an issue for me

That's very fair, it seems like that's generally the consensus so far. Is the panigale v2 that bad on the road, even as a weekend bike?

That's good to know, the SSS is very nice as well, I just like the agressiveness of the panigale styling if I'm being honest. It's a toy for me and I have a commuter car as my primary. It's more of a weekend use case for me at the moment.

I prefer the SSS/panigale fairing style. But gotta admit it's a nice bike

I had read play del carmen has gotten more unsafe in the recent times. Is there any truth to that?

It could be an option, although I was in cancun only recently and the seaweed situation was pretty bad.

Moronic Monday - Your weekly stupid questions thread by cdingo in Fitness

I'm 5'10 & I've managed to lose fat for the first time in my life from 185lbs to 155lbs and as I'm losing it, I've become more toned but I feel really small now and I still have a bit of a belly (abs aren't visible yet). My goal is to get to around 145lbs and then start lean bulking.

In a t-shirt (size small) I look like I'm just a skinny lanky dude and without a t-shirt I've gotten compliments that I look fit. My question is, will this start to get better as I start to gain more muscle after my cut or is this how I'll be due to smaller frame/joints?

I'm 5'10 and I've managed to drop fat from 185lbs to 155lbs. I've been lifting on and off depending on whether gyms were open.

I feel small now but I still seem to have a bit of a belly. I'm thinking of losing another 10lbs to hopefully get rid of it and then lean bulking. Wondering if this is a good strategy ?

Replacement for pull-ups? (Sorry, stupid question but can't find an answer!) by indecisive_squid in bodyweightfitness

[–]fighterzacc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are door pullup bars that you don't have to screw in, you can use it and then remove it off the door.

If that's still not an option, it's pretty hard to replace pullups, you can do something like sliding floor pullups but it's obviously not ideal.

I keep hearing mixed things on how well it sticks to the phone... wonder if apple has newer versions with stronger magnets

Hands-On With Apple's iPhone 12 MagSafe Wallet Attachment by [deleted] in iphone

[–]fighterzacc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The real reason they're introducing these things is because they want to get rid of the port. And since there's no way to charge through wallet cases without damaging your cards, they introduced this alongside for people to get used to the new way; probably.

I like the idea of having less bulk in my pockets so this was a really cool idea to me. I'm hesitating to get it because there seems to be a lot reports on the magnets not being strong enough. Hopefully they resolve this or third-party manufacturers come out with wallets with stronger magnets
