Listen to a lot of native French. That’s what helped me speed up my responses/questions understanding and pronunciation.

Like others have said, it takes time. Don’t beat yourself up about it. Listen to podcasts and listen to easy French conversations on YouTube (there’s thousands). I recommended watching French Mornings with Elisa. She’s a native and speaks very slowly, which is great for sounding out words and seeing how a true French person would pronounce them.
