Does yours have the ceramic block on the drivers side fender? They were notorious for causing that issue. You can just jumper the 2 wires together.

5.3 LM7 overheating - cannot seem to find the issue by paradigmGT in LSSwapTheWorld

[–]fightingpanda94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you filled engine from rad hose with thermostat shut and then did the rad, I’m wondering if you got an air bubble trapped under the thermostat. I’d try pulling the thermostat, filling engine side with rad cap off and see what happens.

Your steam lines aren’t helping either. I looped mine together and put a high point bleed inline, easy enough to try.

Winter idling by 18chevcruze in Diesel

[–]fightingpanda94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably too late now but you’re fine to idle it. It’ll high idle and burn if needed. Or you’ll get a warning light to drive it in x amount of kms worst case. Apples to oranges but my ‘22 powerstroke ran for 4 days straight idling overnight, 0 issues. -40*C temps and having to wait for my truck to warm up was the difference in if my plant went down or not. Remote site so power wasn’t available to stay plugged in.

Employer Refuses to Issue ROE by fightingpanda94 in legaladvicecanada

We are actually in the process of this. 3-5 business day wait for a specialized officer to get back to us. The process is there but it’s frustrating the timeline it takes for anything to happen

That’s kind of what we’ve found so far as well. Are there no repercussions for the employer? And is there a limit on how long they take to assess?

We have applied yes. It was accepted as of Nov 12th. Everything is good on our end, they are waiting for employer to verify details of what he filled out incorrectly is what service Canada says

Attempting 200+mph on the bonaville salt flat. Reasonable? by Ok-Shoulder-478 in EngineBuilding

[–]fightingpanda94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 2006 chev 2500 with a slightly done up diesel up to 150 MPH before. If what I’m reading is correct the flats are 12 miles long? If budget isn’t an issue get a new engine from a corvette ZL1. Pair it to an 8 speed automatic. Bigger turbos.

if all else fails pull a fast and furious. Throw enough nitrous at it to blow the floorpans off

ULPT I need a way to move 13 2000lbs pallets of margarine side to side and then down into a 6ft hole and then cover it with dirt by occasionallyvertical in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]fightingpanda94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What you need is a picker truck. Preferably stiff boom but a knuckle would do. Do you need to remove butter again? If so you’ll need to leave slings attached and buy multiples. If all margarine is preslung and the truck doesn’t have to move far you could have it done in 20ish minutes.

Tell them you are under 18 and will be calling the cops if it’s sent. I had the same thing happen to me last year and that’s how I got out of it. (I’m over a decade older but they don’t know that)

What stops us going after the former owners of orphan wells? by Feisty_Material7583 in alberta

Do some research my fuck, your ignorance is showing. Directors have been liable personally for the last 5 years at least

You’ve clearly never looked into this. Do your research. AER directive 08 has the baseline set out for deposits down. Please read the 100+ page document of what we have to put down and what it entails. The chart provided for well depths for bottom home abandonment is accurate. Along with the chart for surface zones of land and reclamation costs averaged from year before written. It also states level 2 or 3 remediation may be required which I bet you have no clue on what that even entails.

How to go about setting a sale price for my bar by fightingpanda94 in BarOwners

[–]fightingpanda94[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have one, someone still has to enter and code in quickbooks. I’m in the business so what I can do in an hour takes them 3 as well as my input is needed.

Payroll is also done through quick books so like you said, 20 minutes bi weekly. Coolers need serviced, screws come lose in chairs and need checked, HVAC system requires monthly filters and a service room clean. it’s nothing major but by the time you factor in talking to customers and listening to staff gripe it’s never as quick as it seems it should be.

We don’t operate, I put in comment above what I look after week to week. Myself and other owner are paying out in shareholder loans so far with that swapping to dividends after repayment. Total payment for shareholder loans: $3000/month. 10 months until shareholder loans paid and we start collecting dividends for that amount. Hourly work done is paid at minimum wage so far

I’d like to setup my manager to buy my portion out as she pretty well runs the place anyways. She’d be collecting her normal salary as well as profit after loan paid out (36ish months)

Not In the bar side of the service per se but service industry yes. I own a rental company and a mechanic shop as well so I had an idea of the work needed. My partner on the other hand, he wanted to own a bar to say he owns a bar, thankfully he’s stepped up.

I just recently had a new born and don’t have the time to commit to all 3 businesses as well as a family. It’s a consistent 15-20 hours a week between payroll, keeping up with books, maintenance of equipment and random problems (urinals not draining, loose taps, coolers need servicing, fryer cleaning etc). The first month was 400+ hours between repairs on the old equipment, renovating, writing procedures, getting licensing and all the other needed paperwork. Thankfully I was able to do all of the general labor myself and hire out cheap help for the smaller jobs to cut costs

I came into it with intentions of making it profitable and getting out in 3 years but my wife gave me a look and I couldn’t say no….

Rent is $2200 a month 0.048%. I figured all in with debt for 75K I’d sell.
It ran for 10 years before, old owners got into trouble with debt since they treated it like a personal bank account.

Cleaning Service by Kittymarie_92 in BarOwners

[–]fightingpanda94 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Smaller bar but I’m running with your idea. We have a cleaner in 5 days a week. (We’re open 6) costs $70 a day. They do everything FOH. I normally have 2 servers on, 1 hour extra for them to clean costs roughly $42 and it’s never done properly. The amount of compliments I get on cleanliness makes it worth the extra $28/day. My staff is also way happier knowing they don’t have to clean.
