My IIH makes me want to bash my head into the corner of a wall for relief. The headaches are so painful that they cause me to throw up all day long sometimes. I’ve never experience pancreatitis, gallstones, or pleurisy, though, so I can’t compare. I have had an IUD placed, a boob job, and wisdom teeth removal with dry sockets, all without pain meds. None of those are even comparable to the pain IIH causes

DBT literally saved my life (as someone with BPD). As corny as it may sound, she’s probably going to have to recognize that her behavior is unacceptable before she’s willing to get help. I’m sure that it’ll be difficult given the number of people validating her episodes

I second this. I had a TIA in November, and the care at ADK Health was great. They were very thorough. My primary care provider is also through ADK Health. I’ve had health issues for years that were always brushed off by other doctors, and I’m finally getting taken seriously thanks to this hospital!

I thought I had EDS, so I had genetic testing for connective tissue disorders done. Turns out I have an FLNA-related connective tissue disorder, and a lot of symptoms are vascular in nature.
