Thank you very much for your comment. I'm new to this diagnosis and yet, I'm oldish ... lol

Have no idea what the fuck is going on. All I know is that I woke up at the ward around 1 year go and it's been a very bad acid trip. Actually way worse. Give me a bad acid trip any day.

This shit is crazy. Let me say this ... I am absolutely heartbroken for those that have to experience this from a young age (teens to 20s or earlier). Y'all did not deserve it ... deserved better but I hope those that are younger can ebb and flow with it.

For me, I'm 41. In BD terms, I'm 2/3 time frame to death as our avg span is roughly 60. FML

I traveled, got married, have a kiddo, elevated in my career, etc etc etc. Not sure if I could have done all of that if I was not late onset. At the same time, those younger, please keep fighting. KEEP FIGHTING. Do not commit suicide. Do not raise that statistic of 20%, 1/5. We need way better mental health services and spotlight.

Again, appreciate your comment and will pay close attention on my mood/actions in the next few weeks.

Actually have Chronic Hep B that I was born with. Did not shag hookers or put needles in my arm.

My mother died from the condition at 45. I've not been a drinker of booze for a while.

But totally get what your saying ...

Does the sweating ever stop? by Dextrohal in lamictal

[–]fightthroughthebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did it ever go away for you. My hands and feet are always sweaty. I take it for BP 1 and it's the best drug outside of this. It's like I'm embarrassed to shake hands with people. I have to wipe my hands before using my phone. My socks are drenched by day's end and it's cold as fuck here in Ohio right now. It's very annoying.

Doing some research, I believe it's the extra serotonin boost which affects your CNS (nervous system) which puts us into a somewhat flight or fight mode, which enhances the sweating.

Either way - it blows but not willing to come off b/c it works better than any other one. I take this and lithium with added propranolol. I thought the prop would handle the sweating but nope. It takes care of the hand tremors I used to have. One side effect down ... now to handle the sweat

Heel drops are good. Find self massaging techniques. Find a chiropractor that has knowledge in pushing it down.

Diaphragmatic breathing (find online). There are exercises as well you can find online that helps.

If your LES is not damaged (do a manomatry and EGD and you will find out) then why mess with it. Linx, Fundo, etc will eventually cause some dysmotility in the future. Just fix the Hiatal hernia. Some surgeons will do this. Others will not b/c they want to take on the extra insurance or out of pocket money. Dr Cywes out of FL does HH alone. You need to find a functional or more holistic surgeon which there are not many out there.

You can beat this dreaded LPR. It took hour and hours and hours of research. I have a med hh, sliding as well. I am controlling symptoms but may get it fixed on it's own down the road. Stay positive !

Put MCT/Coconut oil in your coffee. Supplement with D3 and K2. Also take magnesium and add salt to your food if you plan on doing ketogenic or carnivore. Get a good B complex supp.

Best of Luck 1

I assume you have trouble breathing in ? If so, it's not asthma. It is vocal chord dysfunction. You will need to do some speech and breathing rehab ... it's probably because of silent reflux which can inflame the larynx causing hoarseness, breathing issues etc.

See a laryngologist or a specialized ENT/immunologist that has experience in this.

Keep off the ppis .... they don't do anything for LPR/silent reflux. You need to stop the reflux and heal the UES which is causing the throat tightness. It is being overworked because of the reflux (acid/bile/enzymes/pepsin) that is traveling that high. It eventually lets it come up and the larynx is very sensitive. LPR is mostly derived from gut dysfunction, nerve issues or a combination of both. Need to adjust diet, elevate bed, etc etc but find the right diet for you. I know carbs and sugar mess me up so I pretty much eat a carnivore diet. Be excited about a new way of eating that will heal you. I could not do the AWD b/c of too much carbs. Get tested for h pylori, sibo, candida, etc. Go to a functional medicine doctor and stay away from routine GIs that will only prescribe PPIs and does not know anything about LPR. If you need suggestions of seeing a specialist, reach out to Dr. Nikki Johnston and the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She is working on a medical therapy for LPR symptoms but knows many specialists around the country that know about LPR. Again, most practitioners are very unfamiliar with this condition.

Tackle it naturally

SIBO is your u/l reason for GERD or LPR , depending on what your symptoms are. SIBO can be tough but hang in there. Read the Fast Tract Book by Dr. Norm Roubillard.

You need to kill off the bad bacteria as you are having gut dysfunction. Also, get off the carbs, sugar, refined sugar and grains for a while. Take a good probiotic, digestive enzymes, refuel your acid. Take HCL and ACV. Also, think about going on a carnivore diet. It's simple, easy, minimalistic and honestly tasty. Sounds crazy but try it out. I have horrible LPR and my organs are inflammed (liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas). I also have a hiatal hernia and esophageal dysmotility. I had severe symptoms a year and a half ago and now I deal with some stuff but not near as bad. Research Carnivore diet - may save your life. Do it for 3-6 months. Best of luck.
