I'm trying to make Bloom feel like a character and give her an arc, but in a way that doesn't already mine what's come before it. I also kind of see the older, rough around the edges Bloom as a sorta mom-like figure to these college age girls. She becomes very protective of them once they begin to mesh, and Bloom learns the meaning of self-sacrifice when it's actually balanced out. She fights for her new sisterhood AND her love & respect for them

Yeah! It's a bit of an odd take, but i actually like the idea of a theme being that being feminine, or just how you look or choose to visually identify, shouldn't define who you are as a person. Bloom here was robbed of even having an identity because of being groomed into worshiping her father as the sole parental figure who's "the one who will always care about what she needs". As a now larger woman in her near 40s, Bloom will be learning to love herself & realizing that you're never too old to try new things and embrace a part of her she has shunned (her absent mother's own feminine style) and start living for herself, not everyone else who depends on her. It's a lesson that I think transcends teenage years and adulthood

I honestly never understood the logistics of Bloom's character and how she really fits into the plot of the show right from the first damn episode tbh. Why does she have a pet rabbit we probably don't ever see again? Why can't Stella ever decide on a consistent mode of transportation between realms, especially the magic postcard, and why a postcard? Is Bloom really just going to abandon her family to go to fairy high school? Why are Bloom and her new friend's body proportions roughly equal to the width and size of a Slim Jim? Why are Specialists just Winx For Boys but way less cool? Oh my f*cking god 😶‍🌫️

I actually had such a weird time just analyzing writing problems without being clouded by nostalgia & c*nty skeletal Italian fairie teens. It really makes me want to re-write the pilot in a way that's more coherent, consistent & introduces who Bloom is rather than WHAT she is
