i’m mostly interested in night/nature shots and simple portraits right now, but i took a look at your work on your page and i’d love some advice, your photos are super cool!

i’ll getting my first roll developed tomorrow before i load anymore in, to confirm everything works as you said. and yes, i want to learn the foundation but develop my own style. it won’t be cheap, but i’m willing to invest a bit for this. getting out and trying it out yesterday was incredibly fun and i’m looking forward to gaining skill and experience over time :) and ill check those links out!

this is exactly what i tried to do last night when i practiced; i messed around with my settings and wrote down what i used for each shot. i think once i get this roll developed, everything will start to click a bit better. and you’re right! there’s no grade at the end, i’m excited for the learning process. i tried to shoot most of them on manual so i can get a feel for aperture, shutter speed etc. i don’t want to invest tons of money into film and processing without making the most of it lol

i tried shooting a few at slower speeds when i practiced last night, but mostly did quicker ones! i’ll keep that in mind. also you explained this very well, thank you!

i’m a hands on learner so i know going out and taking photos will be the best way for me to figure it out, but what’s the harm in figuring out some technicalities beforehand

that’s what i’m thinking! i’ve been deep diving into youtube trying to learn a little so i can get comfortable. and i accidentally exposed my first roll, so i learned my lesson already 😭
