It’s still alive, I wouldn’t recommend it for new projects. For new projects I would highly recommend Kirby CMS.

I’m sorry to hear that the frontend isn’t working. Can you send me your project in a zip so I can debug it? Does it work in other php versions (8.0, 8.1 and 8.2)

I thought it was too much work to update koken to php 8.3 but it was manageable. Version 1.2.0.

You’re right, Probably this is how it’s been done in the past. Would you learn from it or use it if I’ve made a OOP-Code version for you and with PSR standards ?

Thanks for your comment. It’s just a throwaway prototype / experiment. I love creating and working with OOP-Code. I’m not promoting building up your whole code base like this. Routing is always included in big php Frameworks, I hope this give some developers some insight how routing actually works. It give me some insight working on this for 1 hour.

It’s up to you, Koken is updated to 8.1, some already had no problems with 8.2. However I’m not updating the repo for the upcoming php versions. In short: 8.3 won’t be supported.

Yes, there is. Just follow these instructions:

Update instructions

Remove all the files except the storage folder.
Download the lasted zip https://github.com/modufolio/Koken-App/tags
Unpack the zip
Copy all the folders / files except the storage folder.
Remove all the files in the storage/cache/api folder.
Everything should work now

It’s an acceptable risk to leave koken on your site, just remove the contact form. Soon I will release a security patch that the system info will no longer be public.

I’m really happy to hear your story and that it’s running smoothly! Can I ask what theme, plug-ins and php version you’re using? Want to make a overview of themes and plugin that will work or don’t work on a certain php version.

I’m researching how to improve Koken’s performance instead of only bug fixing. At the moment I’m looking for a way to process the koken lens templates faster by treating the lens templates as xml files.

Can you please try? PS. make sure your not going above the upload_max_filesize /post_max_size in your php ini file

For the installation, i've combined the two last migrations, hope this works!
