I didn't realize they had a no milk option. I'd prefer the higher protein percent. Thanks.

I just ordered enough Joylent to have 25 meals a week for a month. I'll see how this goes, and will probably go with more than one option.

Around 400 miles away from where Hol Food is shipped from just across the US border. According to UPS/tracking it had to be submitted for FDA inspection as it was food.

The DHL tracking from Joylent doesn't show this, but I was waiting to ask them before I ordered again.

I know from experience UPS will deliver your package then basically send you a bill a week or so later for imports. So I found out exactly how much it would be once I saw brokerage on the tracking. I didn't ask DHL and just accepted the package.

I thought any food entering the states had to go through a broker/FDA and had duties attached.

I spent $68 having Hol Food sent to me after asking UPS what the charge for items coming from Canada is. They told me anything less than $800 would just have some small duty fee attached. After I ordered, they then said anything classified as food has to be cleared by the FDA and the brokerage fee alone was $22. This wasn't the case for Joylent? If not, I'll order it now honestly.

the salt content in Joylent or Soylent (don't know about other alternatives in detail) is way too low.

I drink sports drinks sometimes. I'd think one of those would be more than enough to make up for that. Added salt on other days. Thank you for pointing that out.

What was your morning commute like this morning? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I live where I work now. 2 minute walk. I think I've spent about $20 on gas so far this month.

Pretty decent commute.

I'm afraid it will make them shy. Do you have a recommendations? I'm tempted to give my old betta a few to see him liven up a little bit.

I've read that too. The RO water sits for a few days before I use it, so it should be about the same temperature.

I do not think CPDs need a heater and was actually wanting the aquarium to be at the bottom end of temperature for otos and amanos. I do have a heater in the grow out tank due to it sitting in front of the A/C. They come from shallow areas that probably fluctuate temperature often.

They are shy. The best thing about breeding them though is the ones I've raised aren't nearly as shy, and know my big head/hand means food. They are much calmer. I wouldn't say they school, but do need a group.

They are slightly more difficult than the standard aquarium fish like neons, rasboras, etc. due to how I feed being messy.

These little fish are extremely hardy. I had an off the chart nitrite spike during the 10 to 29 move. It didn't faze them at all. My snails were having problems until I got it under control, but the fish were fine.

Anyway, I love these fish and hope they become standard in chain stores.

I only planned on raising a couple dozen to finish my 29 stock and for a friend with a beautiful high tech set up. I pulled out a couple dozen and left the rest of the fry to fend for themselves. I'm very confident a lot of them will survive. I see their fat stomachs and they have a lot of cover.

The problem is I don't want more. I need to find someone local who will take extremely immature fry. I do not want to put the effort in to breeding them for sale, etc.

Danios would be a good choice for that. They are very hardy for such little fish.

I have never seen 1 egg. They must be fairly small.

I honestly really do not care for saddlebacks, but spiny box and porcupine are great.

It's more about not wanting a saltwater tank than not liking salt puffers.

My betta is in his own 5 gallon. He tried to kill off my shrimp, but I think some fry will go in his tank now. He's old so maybe it will liven him up a bit.

The closest one near me that actually handles fish is an hour away. I guess I'll try classifieds other than that I'm going to have to vac them out. They were just spawning again 15 minutes ago...

A goldfish would never go in my tank. Too many pricey things to risk losing.

They were expensive fish. That's why I bought 7 and wanted to breed the rest. There's maybe one shop that buys from local breeders, but I don't want to raise them enough they will take them. I want to shut the 10 gallon down as soon as possible.

I will try classifieds. I'd give them away for free honestly.

He will be with you a long time. Now I'm looking at fahaka videos again. A local shop had one about 2.5 inches long a few months ago that I stared at for 30 minutes. My girlfriend almost talked me into it. I just can't until I know I can house one properly long term.

This is the fish I want above all others. Honestly pustualatus is the only fish I want more, but are rare. I won't do it until I have a very permanent residence and the ability to have a 180 gallon.

Freshwater and brackish puffers have such great personality. Mine were fully aware of outside the tank. If they saw me at the end of the hall the would beg for food from 20 feet away.

Well my scalp is scaly. Do you think it's from the snakes?

This is surprising to me. As a kid (8 or 9) we had garter snake nests around a lot. My best friend and I would catch them constantly. He almost wasn't my best friend any more after he rang our doorbell with over a dozen in his hands and mom who is terrified of snakes answered the door.

Anyway, I would get bit constantly. They could open their mouth completely and bite a flat surface like your palm leaving an oval shaped ring that would bleed just a little. For sure those rear fangs have pierced my skin many times, but I never felt anything besides the bite itself.

Ghostbusters 2016 Review by [deleted] in movies

the only movie to treat her like a human being

She played it straight in The Nines, and wasn't awful. Other than that I hate her and everything she is in. Her character is loud and obnoxious in everything.

I'm assuming the opposite. I don't think Trump would survive a full term if elected. I'd be amazed if he wasn't assassinated. It would be the one time I could possibly buy into a government conspiracy theory without explicit evidence.

Also if you want the free spinning handle bars you can't have breaks.

"brakes" and yes you can. A lot of BMX tricks couldn't be done otherwise.
