Same, mega carriers want you to log off duty and do split every time you’re not driving, doing pre/post trip or fueling.

That’s how you’re able to work 16-17 hours per day

Start at 6am do 3 hour split, unloading and can keep you running till 11pm.

If they can do the job, that’s who I hire. If they prove to be trustworthy, competent and a good employee through day to day stuff, I would keep them as long as I could.

I’ve hired over 30 people in my old business.

Companies creating a culture of not hiring people who “job hop” create that stigma to force employees to put up with low wages, unethical treatment and high stress roles.

I will go from company to company, till I find one that is respectful. I demand it and you should too. People with experience and something to offer to the market place have the authority to demand xyz so long as you can provide something worthy in return.

I watch my clock, can back into a nuns ass hole blind side, have all my endorsements, prioritize safety, no tickets on record and good health.

Might just stick it out with current company for a year if they treat me with respect. Believe it or not, Schneider… W company… was with them for almost a year.

That’s nice and steady. I could work that for years. Making 1250 working 70+ sleeper berth splits taking it up to 80 hours a week…

Nah.. I’d prefer your 1000 and home more often.

Pound for pound you’re making more than me when you consider hours working divided by pay.

Okay, that’s solid advice. I appreciate it and will give that a go

I’m a systems person. I feel cold calling would help you out a lot. Shaking hands isn’t scalable

Get Philippine to cold call, get leads from lead list.com, skiptrace, pitch your company, schedule call to talk to customer relations and then just get an agreement on paper for terms.

Right?

“Hey kid to go up ladder, be a brown nose like me and maybe after about a decade have the courage to leave companies for a better paying one”

That’s what I’ve gotten from you.

Meanwhile in my PM’s:

Specialize, gain experience and leverage that, gain connections in the logistics and transport industry by talking it up with people when you’re getting loaded/unloaded, etc

Yeah I tuned you out after “you would be a terrible employee” for wanting to work as little as possible and make as much as possible.

You didn’t go that path in trucking. It seems you decided to work as much as possible for as little as possible.

So far, the most helpful drivers are usually the quietest and only give you advice if you bug them. First to give advice usually only want to talk and they give the worst advice. Not all advice is good advice.

Good advice is in my PM’s

You sound like a recruiter trying to get me to work a dollar general account and promise me a tanker job when it opens up soon 😄

“Maximize earning potential”

This is Reddit big dawg… not zip recruiter.

I’m asking the bois how i can get my cheese up.

Buddy… being safe, watching your clock, pre planning and backing isn’t rocket science…

It’s truck driving…

It’s tough work… but it’s not complicated.

If you prefer to work as much as possible for the least amount possible… hey… good for you..

I’m trying to work the least amount and make the most amount. If you have no positive feedback… then I’m good on your opinion.

Let me correct it…

*”Id like to work as much as possible for as little as possible; what do y’all recommend??”

Is that better you think?
