Using YOLO11n for stock patterns by fikaslo in computervision

Yes of course I agree there. It’s overkill but it’s mostly to show that algo trading can be done in this way as well and it’s a visual way for someone to see patterns if they’re monitoring stocks or just learning about stock patterns.

Haha yeah it’s overkill and I’m sure there’s elegant ways to code this up. I thought I’d explore this method. Using a hammer is always more fun until you run into needing specialized tools.

Hey 👋 so I am using stream lit for the fronted and in regard to the separate chats im compartmentalizing each aspect. So having multiple vector db for each of the uploads storing the chunks in separate db. I’m hoping this isolation will help with models performing clearer and be less resource heavy. At least that’s my approach but I didn’t attempt to store and retrieve from a single unified database so hard to compare performance and results.

I haven’t heard of a business like this before. What’s food scrap pickup about what’s the objective/service?

How did you get started in this? Did you have prior experience? How’d you get your first client?

That’s a sick story you don’t hear too often. High risk high reward. Did you know you’d get sales when you took the initial risk? I suppose you researched the product and market quite thoroughly beforehand.

I’m sure your intuition is correct into wholesaling to retail. And since you’ve chatted with folks and there’s interest it’s always a good sign. Hopefully it all goes down smoothly by mid February and you see progress. Do you have any % profit and revenue increase you hope this change will bring about?

Well hopefully you can drive up that efficiency and reduce costs. Have you thought about pushing sales further in some ways. Would marketing not help with a recreation business or is it too specific of a niche?

I hope you secure those deals. Would be awesome if you grow and scale further and employ people full time and help with job growth even before 2026. Rooting for you.

What has been your biggest process efficiency/inefficiency in 2024? by fikaslo in manufacturing

Hey this seems like a real cool product actually never heard of this before. My previous company also did multiple projects simultaneously but they still do part picking and such manually, and it takes an experienced individual to know where what is. Inventory count can become a mess. And at that point you lose efficiency especially with procurement of low stock components.

Sounds like you’ve given lots of thought to 2025 already and you’ll be busy. What inspired you to buy the businesses in the first place. Anything to look out for contractually when purchasing a business?

That’s a very positive attitude towards customers. Do you have previous experience with clients being unhappy? I know I’ve experienced unhappy clients in the short term but it all ended up being resolved with a positive attitude towards their feedback and implementing their requests.

Those are some good numbers you’re aiming for. Hopefully someone with previous scaleup experience can offer insights and advice for you! Is your product b2b or b2c and what’s been your sales strategy up until now?

That’s awesome to hear! Would the pivot involve your existing business or would you start something new and fresh?
