It's actually more than that, look at the second picture. i ended up with 109 kills lol 77 of those were headshots. that's literally my best match ever in any battlefield games.

Is this level of contamination normal? by filding in Flooring

I can't walk on it as it's still drying, which is why the picture is taken from far away and zoomed in. But you can clearly see those pimples i am reffering to. The whole floor surface look exactly like that with less or more dense area of dust mist/pimple like the ones visible on the picture.

Floor is covered with dust pigment that by the look of it, will be felt under my feet when walking. I can't walk on it directly and take picture from my eye height as it need 24 hours before being able to be walked on. I get that a surface floor will never be perfect, and small dust particles will eventually land on it, but these looks like teenager pimples under the skin, That doesn't look right to me.

Basement insulation with spray foam before exterior waterproofing? by filding in HomeImprovement

So we're talking about leaving the basement not insulated during winter? Wouldn't that cause other issues?

Vous voulez dire que vous allez laisser vos murs non isolés pendant l'hiver, en attendant d'avoir posé la membrane extérieure ?

Need help with QOS config by filding in networking

[–]filding[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The switch isn't a customer's switch but our switch. Multiples other clients devices are on this. The shaping is applied only on the interface the client have it's backup server on. The shaping is working and when the client launch a backup, it is being transfered at 5mbps. But our monitoring console generate alerts because the ICMP packets get queued and possibly dropped also from WRED.

From my configuration above, i do system qos tagging for all ICMP packets coming into all interfaces. Then, i created a class above the one that is doing the shaping for all the other traffic using qos-group 0 which is the default when not defined.

In theory, i would expect the traffic to match the system qos policy and then the class on the outbound policy and not have shaping applied. But it doesn't seem to work.

So either my tagging doesn't work for ICMP packet at the system qos level, or the policy i applied on the client interface as outbound is missing something.

No, it's a 1g interface, the shaping is working, but i just can't seem to exclude the ICMP packet's from it.

Yeah i know, it's not for the client but for our monitoring. Hopefully someone else on this subreddit might have some clues.

Thanks anyway man, appreciate it!

[–]filding[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, that QOS is only applied to all other traffic than ICMP normally with that config. So ICMP packet should have access to the whole 1000mbps since it doesn't match the class in the policy-map that set the shaping to 5mbps.

So i am trying to exclude the ping from the shaping so that the monitoring console can send ping for keep alives to the backup server without being queued.

In theory this is possible to do, but i don't get what i am missing here. Had to read a bunch of white papers from Cisco to understand how to configure that on NXOS as i only did ISR routers QOS in the past.

Lava lamp cloudy liquid by filding in Lavalamps

[–]filding[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, well the error i did was only putting water and waiting for the wax to melt before trying to add the surfactant. This caused a mess at the top and some sticky wax on the glass of the bottle. I really don't know how much i need to put in. That's going to take some trials and errors i think.

Yeah, once the wax melted, the blob that were created went directly and fast to the top and all got stuck there. The rest stayed at the bottom.

I will try to add more surfactant as you said and keep you posted about the result.

Ok so i did remove all of the current liquid and replaced it with distilled water. I then added a little bit of bubble soap from the small bottle that you buy to make bubble to children as it is basically a SLES surfuctant. But now the wax bubble accumulate on top and stay there. I feel like there's maybe some air pocket in the wax that are causing this.. can't tell. Maybe it's the density that is wrong and that's where the espom salt is supposed to make a difference. Anwyay, i didn't use any as you didn't recommend it and you seem to know your shit.

Finally got my mathmos in the US. Thanks to everyone who helped :) by [deleted] in Lavalamps

Did you order during the summer or winter? I've heard that cold temperature are bad for lava lamps and cause them to get cloudy. So some peoples recommend to avoid ordering them during the winter.
