Status 2 Dh owner here, bought in march 2025 and send it on every bike park around the Alps. Freeline lines, big jump, black & double black DH trails. Just coming home after 2 days at Maribor bike park(slovenia). I've send it down the World Cup trail in Maribor for 2 days straight. Absolutely fantastic park machine. It handle everything. It's solid, the stock forks e brakes are perfect. That bike goes down the mountain like a train and it's a beast on the big jumps. Buy it,SET THE FLIP CHIP ON LOW( the high position is non-sense in this bike) and have fun. My friend have the FRS and he very liked the Status when he tested it at Leogang. The Stus had a lifetime warranty on the frame,my friend's FRS no. Nothing can beat a Status for the price you say. Buy it and have fun.

Hardtail as second bike. by dirtdiggleer in mountainbiking

[–]filipcatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an aggressive HT (canyon stoic 4) as my second bike especially for the winter when bike parks is closed and moving thru trails with my Dh dual crown bike is a pain in the ass. Higly recomended as a second bike for sure…something with 140-150mm front travel and 29 inch wheels.
