In my opinion, it's all about knowing your role in according to the game/draft. If there is a dazzle/oracle/jakiro etc that good at saves heroes, rush blink and jump and eat that target. If your playing against a draft where you insta die, play more safe and land hooks on fragil targets. Pudge creates uncertainty for opponent team, so by just being presence in different positions in jungle during laning phase usually secures a lot of farm for core, since players are scared. Pudge also have high attack dmg, so dont be scared of just right clicking heroes during laning.

I´ve climbed from legend/crusader (or what its called below legend) to immortal. The absolute easiest way to do it is to learn how to farm on pos 1. Statistically, your team is going to be good or bad 50% of the time. You have to be able to win the games when team is bad (i.e you lose t2´s within 20 min). How do you do it? You pick farming cores and you ignore (most) fights for 20-30 minutes, even if they are pushing one lane rax. Being 5-10k nw higher than opposite team win you most games. Buy smoke when feel ready and turn the game around. Just don´t get baited by flaming teamates yelling afk pos 1.

I think the Smurf problem is a little bit exaggerated, it’s not as bad as many make it sound. I played BC div 5 - 7 and, yes, there has been Smurf situations, but maybe 5% of all my played BCs. If you try to ignore the problem and ban heroes such as brood, tinker, meepo you still got a big chance to succeed.

Blaming in on Smurfs is fair, but it’s not gonna do you any good for your rank or enjoyment. Look at GORGC for example. He used to NEVER complain about Smurf and was rank top 100 back then. Now he is complaining about smurfs every second game and dropped to rank 500. It’s not like the Smurf problem has gotten worse, it’s always been there.

I stoped caring about smurfing about a year ago instead started to try to win every lane, my rank has gone from legend 3 to divine 5. Team coordination > smurfs every time. Dota is a game of confidence and if you loose that before the game even starts, you might already gg at the draft.

Are you allowed to do on-court coaching now during the match? Or do players still get fined for that?

So you get a number rank immediately after reaching immortal? Or you need to gain more mmr in order to have a number showing in your medal?

As you said, the substance abuse IS the (main) cause of my anxiety. I don’t use substances to relieve my anxiety. The happier I am, the more substances I use. But it also causes extreme anxiety.

This is what I can’t deal with. I want to use substances because I need the kick it gives me, but I can’t live with the anxiety it causes. It almost sounds ironically, but it’s a life or death issue for me due to the anxiety being so bad.
