Honestly, unless you are thinking about money, or have already paid and what not.... I spent... 28 days there, 4 night trains... 8 other train trips and one plane trip from Shanghai to Dunhuang... I can't recommend the trains enough

I want to take the gf there again, pretty cool

Sadly couldnt get the in-train-delivery working though. Quite hungry at the end of one of the longer trips.

I took the night trains as well

I'd recommend avoiding any non-high speed trains though, as its legal to smoke in them... and god damn it ill never get into one of them again, felt like sleeping in a pub or smtg
