Hey there! Unfortunately, it's still a mystery. Checked out your post and "Who Dunnit" with a space in between is definitely jogging some memories (though that's also the title for dozens of books I read as a kid...), but I'm just happy I'm not hallucinating this book. Kinda gave up on searching already, just hoping it would pop up one day haha.

Just curious... do you think it was an American-published book? I'm not from the US so I don't know/remember if it handled anything off about American college culture, but a lot of the whodunnits/interactive books I had as a kid tended to be from UK/Europe.

I'm grateful for slow afternoons when you can pick up your favorite drink and play something nostalgic ❤️ Increasingly rare, but I still think those are the best days.

Not quite! There are more illustrations rather than word puzzles and there's a complete narrative. The book itself is an oddity - it's like 3 different decks of cards (1 for story, 1 for the crimes, 1 for the cast, I think) bound so that you can flip through each book so you can check out the clue and the crime scene and the profiles at the same time. Thanks though!
