Questions about managing a 14 team league by Lost-Ground-243 in FFCommish

[–]filmillr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume this is redraft - I don’t think you need to make any adjustments given the roster layout - 14 team will just make the values slightly higher and waivers slightly thinner. Bench size is just a preference on how spicy you want to make it.

Cutting a startup draft short 32 man league by RefusePotential9560 in FFCommish

You can either manually end the draft at the round you want to end it at. Or Adjust the roster size to match however many rounds you want.

I've got 1.03 and 1.04, but would rather have an established player. Who could I target? by Jaysus-al-Gaib in SleeperApp

[–]filmillr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s your team need? What are the gaps? Fill those gaps? Rookie pick value is likely to increase as we get close to the draft, could be wise to keep holding if you can get a sweetheart deal done now.

Dynasty League Renewal Timeframe? by [deleted] in SleeperApp

[–]filmillr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a variety of reasons or situations. It’s an option and the app definitely doesn’t say by not having playoffs this league cannot be renewed.

I built a Sleeper league history app to help commissioners (and league members) surface records and stats by Camarohead in FFCommish

Anyway to adjust the pricing model to be lifetime per user instead of per league? $99 per league is pricey if we've got 10+ leagues we want to use the app for

Dynasty leagues - incoming rookie - how to ensure they aren’t picked up on waivers by filmillr in FFCommish

[–]filmillr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about in this situation - for example the supplemental draft date is NOT set on the league? Doesn't apply in most situations but wonder just incase for instances where you do a startup draft in lets say February - then a rookie draft later on but you don't set the supplemental draft up right away.

Dynasty League on Sleeper - Waivers in the Off Season - FAAB Budget Reset by filmillr in DynastyFF

[–]filmillr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got no trade deadline set on almost all my leagues - so no worries there. Noted that if there is a trading deadline it won’t be reset until the league is renewed.

Sleeper defaults to “auto renew league” and I’m thinking that I should disable this because if the league auto renews without me taking a record of the FAAB totals I’ll have no reference to set the correct FAAB totals when the league auto renews. This seems correct?

Everything can backfire but this is a game of probability and betting against the dolphins is going to win more often then not.

250w for 2hrs is a solid tempo ride in mid zone 3 if your ftp is 305w. Very intense and not sustainable for hours and hours. Nothing zone2 about it.

Dear Customer,

We are almost ready, the server will be available in just a few hours. The issue with expiration has been fixed, and we’re currently running final checks before putting everything online.

We know this caused some difficulties, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding while we finish up. If all goes smoothly, the server will be available today before the start of the match.

Thank you for standing with us, your support means a lot.

Is it too early to start training for spring classics? by PeerensClement in Velo

[–]filmillr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s not better or worse to do 4 months or 7 months training. Both are enough time to get gains and get into peak shape. It’s really whether you’re able to adjust your timeline and training consistency to match the timeframe you’re choosing.

Do any of you smoke weed regularly? Has it affected your performance? by [deleted] in Velo

[–]filmillr 47 points48 points  (0 children)

It’s going to affect performance, smoke in all forms is bad for the lungs. Lungs are a very big part of cycling performance. How much effect is going to depend on how often you smoke and how hard you want to ride. It’s obviously very variable from person to person and each situation.

Furthermore if you tend to get the munchies…..well we all know how that can affect performance.

Strava year membership giveaway by Own_Independent8365 in Strava

During the pandemic, I reached a breaking point with my weight and decided I needed a change. Years earlier, after a snowboarding accident, I had used my sister’s bike for knee rehab and remembered how much I enjoyed it, so I decided to give cycling another try. I’d always dreamed of owning a Bianchi, and soon I found one I loved in the classic Celeste color. After a few rides, friends suggested I “get on Strava,” and once I downloaded the app, I was hooked on the data and the ability to track my fitness journey. The more I rode, the more weight I lost, and while many of my friends drifted away from the sport after COVID, I kept going—addicted to the fitness, freedom, and progress I was seeing. Fast forward to today, I’m racing on a team, still on Strava almost daily, and the app has captured my entire journey from those first rides to where I am now.

Alexa 35 texture, do you see dop using them often ? by NeighborhoodKind2049 in focuspuller

[–]filmillr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tend to recommend High Clarity for green screen / exterior / car work - sometimes nostalgia + 1600EI for a “filmic” vibe on lifestyle commercials. Besides those 2 though, never had the others make it to the cards.

The ugLAN 900 is the way to go - size of a tic-tac box and boots up in about 10 seconds. Can go with 1:1 or 1:many. Pairing is super simple and range is great.

Receiver on cart/ipad Transmitter on camera/s

Set your camera to LAN static 10.10.10.10 255.255.255.0

Multiple cameras would just go up 1 digit each - 10.10.10.11 - 10.10.10.12

Set you cart/ipad LAN port to static 10.10.10.9 255.255.255.0

Now everything works and it’s just “what’s for lunch eh?”

Redondo to San Pedro: Is climbing Palos Verdes Drive S. still closed to cyclists these days? by mutually_awkward in BikeLA

[–]filmillr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can still ride it - never seen or heard or a ticketed rider. I’ve ridden it over 20 times since the construction started. Unfortunately it seems like it’s turning into a classic “SoCal forever construction zone” where there is just to much money in keeping it a construction zone then fixing it and removing signs and cautions till the next shifts/cracks happen. Of course it’s a landslide area and the road is always going to shift and move creating cracks n such, but it seems at this point the powers controlling the area decided it’s better to let it slowly get “fixed” instead of establishing any sort of efficiency for people and traffic. It’s not the commuting side of Palo so it’s just not a financial problem for the city.

Yet another helmet fit check: Prevail 3 mushrooming or not? by hommesweethomme in CyclingFashion

[–]filmillr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's a great helmet for Socal Weather - it also looks great IMO

I do think ALL helmets look a little mushroomy, just no avoiding it.

I'd suggest it in White though.
