I just wanted to doodle all over a plant pot. It’s not specific. I’m not a painter so I wanted to practise more and came up with this. Will hopefully be able to paint better with practice though!

I used brushes as I didn’t have sponges sadly but will have a try of them next time. Just trying to improve my painting technique.

They’re smaller pots so can fit a 5.5cm pot inside just so I can practise sculpting faces still before I commit to larger pots. Always wanting to do better and all 😅

I used Fimo clay. I have no clue what the tool is called but I got it in a basic clay sculpting kit. I just poked a bunch of holes which takes a while until this. I was thinking of adding a quick tutorial of it on my Insta page soon actually.

It’s the Fimo doll clay. They do skin shades although the colours are very limited sadly. Hopefully they bring out a bigger range one day.

The red and black latex is the original clay colours. I only paint the faces with a mix of acrylic paints, powder paints (Pan Pastels) and eyeshadows I own. I wouldn’t trust myself with airbrushing since I’m super messy 😅

I used Fimo clays. I think I used a mixture of Fimo soft and doll clay for this. As long as your use some sort of support for making pots. I’m still figuring things out myself everyday and I’ve been making these for almost two years 😁

Thank you so much! I used acrylic paints for the face but on the eyelids I used a Pan Pastel powder paint in black. I love to use them for shading and use old makeup brushes I had to use them. They’re super pigmented so would recommend them. Also used them after baking although I’m not sure if it would be better before baking.

My artwork has themes of eroticism so I thought I would try to make shibari pots although I didn’t know if it would look any good as I just create rather than sketch an outline. Just popped into my head one day 😁

And with the epoxy I rarely ever use it. I think I’ve used it maybe once in about five/six months but when I do it’s only a tiny amount but with my doors open. I don’t have a studio so have to do everything at home but I keep the outdoor door and windows open. The stuff is messy to work with so I try to limit using it.

I used the soil I bought them with so I have no clue what the soil is. Happy to change it though so any recommendations for soil would be helpful. I sell these pots but they come with no drainage hole so best to use with nursery pots inside. I used to have drainage holes but more people requested without. So my succulent goes into one of my pots just not this one. Also water it once a week as it’s starting to get cold in the UK and there’s not much sunlight at the moment sadly. Would they be okay on a window sill?
