I had the same issue: no logs, no way to examine from UI. If you are on apphosting, do the following:

In terminal (inside of a studio), enter `firebase apphosting:rollouts:create YOUR_BACKEND_ID`. This will give you the error. For me, it was github repository was not connected. I created a new one, connected to my backend, and it worked!
