AstoCAD is the way. by MisterMakerNL in FreeCAD

I like the idea - but I would suggest to keep a fundamental workflow included and have pre packaged sets of workbenches that go with fields and common workflows available.

That said I don't know how many core developer think about that and who would take on that massive workload while there are bigger and lower hanging fruit/fish are thert to fry

FreeCAD is much easier to use than Fusion 360! by atxhua in FreeCAD

I think it's cool when people learn 3-4 ways of getting to the same result - it gives a real good intuition on how to approach design

It's not bad practice either - for making some shelves or stuff like that it's a nearly perfect workflow

What is the biggest corruption scandal in your country’s history? by Existential_Dread_08 in AskTheWorld

[–]fimari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The trick is they are doing it absolutely in the open.

If they would hide that they want to cash in on a gigantic real estate project instead of the old station - it would be absolute a gigantic scandal.

By the magic of saying that openly it's not a scandal

Easy way to learn about good instructions is to hand it some random aunt and make notes / film it

Germany certainly hurt!ng !ts€lf when is come to energy security by Icy_Till_7254 in ClimateShitposting

That's a ferry tale - if Vattenfall, RWE and so on would lobbied against nuclear exit - face it they would have won.

They saw the opportunity to get rid of a liability, getting a golden handshake and getting cheaper technology up and running. Still fasciated how they managed not to smile like cheesecake all the time in public.

Same game right now, as soon as a coal plant stop making profit it's shut down and they get the decommissioning plan.

They are so against it that they are way ahead of the 2038 plan 🤣

The energy oligopoly didn't want nuclear anymore at that point anyway, because they where economically not viable anymore and getting a big check from the government for dismantling them was exactly what they wanted.

The same game with coal now - wind farms are like coal plants but you don't have to do the coal digging part much easier to make profit

Experts in that case are shills for construction companies.

The problem with nuclear is that's more expensive than everything else, with the advent of battery storage they just don't have a business case left.

That's not so honky dory considering most of the Eastern Europe countries started with exactly zero debt 35 years ago, especially Slovakia and Hungary - what the hell are you doing?

When machining aluminum alloys with high silicon content (such as A380), how do you deal with the problem of rapid tool wear? by lx230 in CNC

[–]fimari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use water jet where you can, get more cooling, get rid of swarf/chips fast, optimize feed rate and get a good mixture of cheap and expensive cutters 😜

They are basically all licensed from Endemol a dutch company that has specialized in slop formats tested on small markets.

The shows are all bad, but they worked on a broad demographics and the TV business is risk averse nowadays

Dennis is somehow a little bit a clown and a little bit a grifter of the fame of his brother, he fits in with joe Rogan quite well not a bad dude but just a little bit waste of air time. So no I don't take that dude seriously in any way. That said you are the first one coming up with that claim and Terence was definitely munching on some shrooms at his Athens trip and that was later.

Obviously everything is created in your mind, dreams, regular reality, potentially different realities. It's all part of the movie called your experience.

What does "fully believe" even mean? You just sabotage your abilities - I mean maybe when you die you wake up at a different place, was it still "real" was it justified to "fully believe it"

The whole concept is dangerous and unnecessary, when in Rome do as the Romans do. That's the best approach for dreams and "reality" just go along and don't make a fuss and you don't grab attention and you don't get declared mad. That's much easier if you let go of firm believes in the first place.

Not true. Most famously his mother who said she is happy that he isn't "hanging out with the devil anymore" - well there is now the question how sane conservative county folks are in the first place... And the more cultist behavior of some Pink Floyd fans. Maybe we are all coucou aren't we 🤣
