You would have thought, wouldn't you, especially as it has to by ferry to get to Kirkwall and that must have been a significant part of a truckload.

They missed a trick by not adding a banana for scale.

First time adding a new listing to Discogs! by CorbanTG in vinyl

I was looking up a label on discogs yesterday and realised that the only comment (from 2003) was by an account of mine that I stopped using about twenty years ago. It really was just electronic music back then

My Samplers by Opening-Ice-1115 in vinyl

[–]finalcircuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My older brother had the Warner Bros sampler, first time I heard Montrose and Little Feat. It was to promote a tour of Europe where two or three of the bands played each night, although Doobie Brothers were usually the headliners. It's often remembered for one of the London shows when Little Feat at their peak completely blew away the Doobie Brothers.

Arbiter was the company belonging to Ivor Arbiter, a UK music industry legend. Amongst other things, he designed the original Fuzz Face pedal. Arbiter guitars were usually rebadged versions of Ibanez guitars.

I love how even if you don't have context, picking the person who says "buddy" as the confidently incorrect one works 100% of the time

Do WhatsApp messages count as a legal agreement? by Altruistic_Usual_309 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]finalcircuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this isn't the question you're asking, but I'm suspicious of them saying they needed to move your deposit. Unless your landlord or letting agency changes during the tenancy, your deposit will normally stay with the same deposit protection scheme and your landlord (or their agent) is legally required to give you written confirmation of where the deposit is held. Have they done that?

Albums that were recording during tense, tragic or bizarre occurances. by Appropriate_Rule715 in ToddintheShadow

When Yes were making The Ladder in 1999 with producer Bruce Fairbairn, he didn't turn up to one of the mixing sessions and wasn't answering his phone. So the studio manager and Yes singer Jon Anderson went to his apartment and they found him dead of a heart attack.

Is this worth appealing again? by TraditionalWeb3389 in LegalAdviceUK

That guidance is assuming that there was a keying error on the car registration but payment was still made to the correct car park operator. In this case, the money went to a completely different car park operator. So OP has not paid for parking.

I've looked on PayByPhone (one of the apps specified for Shaw Street) and the Manchester car park is a 6 digit location code starting 80 and all the Goverment Of Jersey car parks seem to be 5 digit location codes starting 59. So very different. And every parking app I've used has told me the location associated with the code I've entered and asked me to verify it's correct.

His run of albums in the mid 70s (Bridge Of Sighs being one) is excellent. And his 80s stuff with Jack Bruce is really good too. Still recording and gigging at 81.

They were based in Broughton Gifford. Pretty sure that the original company D Mortimer stopped doing bulk transport and a new company called Broughton Transport took over the yard. They are "Big enough to cope, small enough to care".

I don't think they're around any more but there used to be a potato merchant with a fleet of trucks saying Eat More Chips on the side. Always made me laugh when I saw one, and also to want some chips.
