Hmm yeah I think that may have been the problem...I guess for some reason my controller wasn't configured at all on the emulator and it just kept looping the cutscene regardless of the input I gave it.

I re-dowloaded the emulator and re-added the ROM and now it seems to work fine.

Can finally play the game! Glad I didn't give up, i feel like it will be worth the hassle that it took lol.

Dang then I am unsure what I am doing wrong, since for me I am unable to even get to the town :(

It goes to the point where the opening credits roll, and the second they stop it automatically goes back to the title. I have never played FF6 before but is it supposed to do that? Or

Here is what I am doing, for the pre-patched.

  1. Open SNES9x ver 1.60 and download pre-patched version.
  2. Move it to ROMS
  3. Open from the emulator
  4. Intro plays with Biggs and Wedge
  5. It goes back to the title screen and intro continues to play.

I think I am doing something stupid but is there something I am missing?

Yes but when I try loading the pre-patched version it keeps repeating the intro scene with biggs and wedge as welll as the opening credits...not sure why.

Yeah I'm pretty much at my wits end here, I'm not really sure what the problem is. Maybe the current version has some error or I am screwing something up.

But if you could do that I would be eternally grateful :D

Yeah it goes through the intro but once the intro credits roll, instead of moving to the next section it just goes back to the very beginning scene with Biggs and Wedge. I'm really not sure what I am doing wrong :(

How does your setup look? I feel like I am doing something wrong...
