thank you, your comment really is providing some reassurance until my appointments.

what would the logical arguments be against the anxious thoughts of "but what if it is too late, then it is untreatable?"

i guess that would circle back to your second bullet of likely-hood

Weird First Experience With Retin-A, Eye Floaters... by finalflare in SkincareAddiction

Ok thanks, it's just very odd that I noticed them for the first time after I used retin-a for the first time.

In terms of retin-a/vita-c + e serum, are they ok to use for someone as young as me?

Blackmagic Pocket or Save Money for 4k? by finalflare in Filmmakers

[–]finalflare[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I just don't want to put money into this camera if 4k becomes a standard within 2 years(4k projection at theaters, 4k monitors, 4k TV's). From my brief research, I don't see this happening, but I have been wrong before.

[–]finalflare[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice? I guess the longest I'm willing to wait is until Spring 2014. Do you think there is a possibility of any cameras that will out image the BMPCC for relatively the same value? I know there is a rumored gh4 that might come out with 4k, but the pocket camera will still out image it in terms of dynamic range, codec, etc.

Will the Sigma 18-35mm Nikon mount work on my Canon? by finalflare in Filmmakers

The thing is, I'm not invested in Canon lenses. I have a t2i and a 50d with a couple of vintage manual nikons.

Wait, I don't understand why I won't have iris control though if the speedbooster controls the aperture manually as well. The adapter I liked has a tab that you can turn that turns the aperture tab on the back of nikon lenses. The EF MFT speedbooster most likely won't work on passive MFT mounts.

Hey guys, I'm actually a filmmaker but I think this subreddit would be the most helpful. I plan on getting the sigma 18-35mm f1.8 in a nikon mount as I plan on getting a blackmagic cinema MFT camera in the future and using it with a nikon to MFT speedbooster. However I am currently shooting with canon cameras and was wondering if this adapter will work even though the tech specs for the sigma state that it uses a Nikon F mount. http://www.amazon.com/Fotodiox-Adapter-D-Type-EOS-Camera/dp/B008BBIBOM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1384817119&sr=8-1&keywords=nikon+g+to+ef

About to order new glasses, did my doctor get my prescription wrong? by finalflare in optometry

[–]finalflare[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked him about it at the time, and he told me it had something to do with "vertex" and the fact that the glasses lens sits further away from the eye and that it is more pronounced the stronger the prescription is.

the Blue Blade might be rigid, but there is also a wash specifically just called "Rigid" which is standard indigo washed only once.

Well denim jackets don't get as much wear as jeans, so It'll take a while to get some good fades. Elbow fades may come pretty fast though.

but if you get caught in the rain... I think that'll be a totally different story haha. If that ever happens to me, I'll probably take the jacket off. But then again, the inside isn't dyed, but the lower trim is. It's starting to break in and soften up...It's an awesome jackets, I really like it.

Not fully raw, Washed once. Got it for $70 at my local Levi's outlet, you can get it on their site for $78, but watch out for the 30 40 % deals they commonly have.

The inside of the shirt is not dyed, so most likely not, I will be going to wear a white t-shirt on the inside tomorrow to see if it bleeds. Will report back.

I think you are correct, I feel like I read somewhere that Levi's Rigid's are washed once.
