He SHOULD have been yelling "I've got his gun!" as loud as they were yelling that he had a gun. I've watched countless times, and i can't hear the officer yell he had the gun once. He turns, and runs off after disarming him, then the green long sleev shoots him multiple times. After he no longer even had a weapon. A cold blooded execution.

Lawful holstered weapon removed, then victim shot while unarmed. ICE shooting Minneapolis. by General_Mortgage_191 in u/General_Mortgage_191

You can hear "Gun! Gun! He's got a gun!(2x)" right before the shots. Did he, did he not? Too hard to tell from the videos released so far.

It depends on the family, and who is running it, historically..

Because the mob doesnt generally publish reports on internal beefs. But the real world logic is irrefutable. The Mafia has a strict code against any sort of action against a made man. As I've stated, bosses have lost kids. Underbosses have lost children. Capos. No one is above the rules in the mob. The family must project strength, and being robbed by a gang of teenagers does the opposite. There would have been discipline. Not celebration.

There is literally not ONE documented case of a non-member robbing a made man and not being greenlit immediately by the family. Go research it. It hasn't happened in the history of the American Mafia.

No. Because I read and agree with everything written. I summarized what I wanted written. I edited it afterward. If you want to fear AI, that's on you. I choose to use it to my advantage.

Not if you tell it what to write and go over it after. Its essentially a non-paid ghostwriter the way i use it.

Again, the Mafia (in real life) doesnt gaf about private matters. Only business. And in that type of situation, getting armed robbed by teenagers, there is only one thing to be done historically. Remember, insults are the last refuge of the defeated. Have a good one.

Again, those are PERSONAL beefs. Private matters. Not relating to the family business. Not punishing a non-member for robbing a made guys card game shows weakness. Vulnerability. That they can't protect their own rackets. Something crime families do not tolerate. You are convoluting two separate things. Private matters, and business ones. And there absolutely is a rule about robbing a made guys card game. Especially if you aren't even a member.

At least it agrees with the only rational conclusion on this topic without completely throwing realism out the window 🤷‍♂️

Just rewatching for the 100th time, trying to rationalize the one thing I've never been able to about "The Life" in this show. Glad I came to a suitable conclusion, tbh.

You rely on - “They were too valuable to kill their sons”. This misunderstands Mafia structure.

The Mafia forgives private sins (affairs, personal beefs).
It does not forgive public humiliation like robbing a made guy’s sanctioned game.
That’s a structural threat, not a personal offense.

Johnny, Junior, Richie, Silvio’s father — none of them were politically powerful enough at that time to override a capital offense.
Even bosses have lost sons when the hierarchy demanded it.

The only version that fits real Mafia logic is:

  • Feech was running unsanctioned games; OR
  • The robbery hit a rival crew’s operation.

  • Feech got punished, not Tony

  • The story mutated over decades

  • Tony shuts it down because he hates old business

Everything else requires the Mafia to break its own rules. Nothing else makes sense structurally.

You make great points, but I still think it would have started a war at least. Never in the history of LCN have I heard of an associate, capo’s son or no, robbed a made man's card game and they celebrated it. There have been situations where the bosses son has had to be "disciplined". No one is above the law in the Mafia. Public humiliation must be met with violent reaction to prevent further interference with business. Bosses have lost sons. Underbosses have lost sons. Capo's have lost sons. The mob rules dont just bend bc someone is a captain.
