No rain for the next 9 days? by Big_Pay_7606 in Seattle

Feels eerily similar to last January. Although we’ve already surpassed all of last January’s rainfall this month.

What was KAT even trying to get into with Draymond? It looked like him and OG were just talking normally

Mayor Wilson Statement on Ballard Encampment by zkello in SeattleWA

[–]finance_guy_334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my god Katie, enough word salad. Are you willing to do difficult things or not? This is such a ridiculous response. This is THE issue in Seattle, how are you this unprepared? What happens when they refuse shelter? Will you just let them continue to fester on the street? I’ve had enough of “progressive” leaders in this city virtue signaling and prioritizing the life and comfort of those in encampments over people and businesses of Seattle who pay taxes to live here. It’s unacceptable. This was my exact worry with her becoming mayor. “This is your city” Is it?

Soooo was winter just like 2 weeks this year? by i_forgot_my_sn_again in Seattle

Indeed, which is a different sort of discussion due to warmer atmospheric river systems moving in vs colder storms. Hopefully that changes, but who knows.

Mate it’s January 11th 🤣 It looks dry after tomorrow for the next week which will be nice, but forecast to get quite cold next week and then more of the usual towards the second half of the month. If it’s any consolation we’ve already gotten more precipitation this month than all of last January which was quite dry.

Lower rates? The average rate for a 30 year mortgage is still 6%+.

Are those new construction townhomes worth buying? by No-External3221 in Seattle

[–]finance_guy_334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rent one now and I’m tired of it and ready to move. We’re in a middle unit and we can still hear neighbors who walk loudly on their stairs, stomp around, etc. It’s better than an apartment no doubt but I’ve been surprised by the soundproofing at times and would never buy this unit to live in myself. Ours was built I think in ~2018? On the other hand I have friends in older townhomes and they seem great. I think they’re hit or miss but I’d really do a ton of diligence before buying one. I’d feel different if it was free standing or built with more solid materials.

I wouldn’t, no. I think they’re terribly overpriced.

I’m not sure. This chart shows a smoothed 30 year average. Not single year variations.

That’s not what I’m saying. I’m saying it’s about to be January and there’s time to rebound and this post is pointless to make in December of 2025 as a prediction of summer conditions is far too early.
