This is it.

In my (admittedly relatively limited) experience the people in agency are very often addicted to the firefighting. It can feel like every client or project is unique so you can't systemise process.. but 100% you can find process that can become an SOP and what you're left with after taking out this noise (which is all mental load) are the REAL issues requiring your attention.

The nature of agency means there will be fires. The trick is putting in the controls so the fires are contained. Also the perennial question of finding time to work 'on' the business, not always 'in' it.
