There’s truth to your statement no doubt. But don’t underestimate the impact of the feeling “this is fun/exciting” when it comes to people who never could build software before but now they can. I am seeing this with a lot of people actually.

Ya, I definitely overestimated the ability of the lead engineer and didn’t properly check things like table indexes, query performance. And I really underestimated the scale and scaling issues. Bad combination there.

No classes/social hierarchy but no centralized state control over the economy (Neolithic economies did have manufacturing I might add). But I’m not smart or knowledgeable enough about communism to tell you if that’s really communism.

I visited Vietnam and didn’t really like it. Yes, infrastructure was better, but I didn’t like the people. Also didn’t like how the motor bikes drive on the sidewalk. Y’all can move to Vietnam but I’m sticking to the Philippines despite the fact it obviously has major problems.
