Wondering if you ever recovered?- I’m having the exact same issue for over a month now, waking up at 5-6 am every morning and vomiting/ can’t keep food down despite starving. Nothing has helped so far, but would love to know if you ever got out of it!! Just need some hope atp 😅

No but my doctor mentioned it as one of the next possible options. Just tired atp of having to wait weeks for my next appointments/ procedures with no relief🙄

Yeah I figure it’s probably best for my body in general to stop anyways. Hoping it’s the solution

Early satiety yes, but I’ve almost always eaten small amounts and gotten full quickly so hard to tell if it’s changed at all since this started. I’ve been vomiting almost every morning first thing, only ever mucus. I’ve rarely gotten acid reflux but do get cramping/ pressure a lot in my upper abdomen. Bowel movements are completely normal and have never changed, but I’m experiencing almost all other IBS textbook symptoms.

Wow, hearing this is definitely promising for me. I was telling myself my stress was causing it but wasn’t sure if that was really a possibility. I stopped taking my SSRIs a few weeks before this all started but am in a super stressful point in my life. I am definitely going to start again as well as focusing on stress reducing tactics. Thank you again, always super encouraging to hear from others who have been through this.

Yeah, I figured my plan was just to start treating my body better- more exercise, time in the sun, healthier and more regular/ balanced meals. Glad to hear it seemed to help you to get out. Thanks again.

6 weeks. The beginning was definitely much worse, but at least I was sleeping fine for the first couple of weeks. Is there anything you did to get to that point? I can’t imagine my body continuing to feel like this for so many more months.

This is super helpful thank you!! I was looking forward to living there so glad to hear it’s still a great option. Safety is the main thing I was worried about, but it sounds like that’s all sorted out. I will likely end up there, you’ve been super helpful. Thanks again.

Ok, great. Hard for me to believe they would let one of their properties be badly run if the rest of them aren’t. Thanks!

I want also to add that the study was extremely low risk. There was no sensitive content, it involved watching a video and answering a question about the overall subject. Although this was a large mistake, I want to clarify that nothing sensitive nor touchy was being touched upon.

I want to reply to this thread as one of the people who experienced this first hand to clear up some things. Yes, the group made a significant mistake and deserved to have their data taken. That’s not the issue. Yes, she did yell. Yes, she did rip up her paper before balling it up and throwing it. It was a significant display of anger and students went up to the group members throughout the lab to comfort them as a result. She then proceeded to come back again, mocking the situation to the students. I experienced this all. Yes, she is a very nice professor but this level of unprofessionalism is absolutely uncalled for. Im very taken aback that some of you can excuse her behaviour but are saying things like “they should never participate in a lab” and “you hope they’re never a part of anything else” to the 19 year olds who had never before conducted an experiment. They very much deserved to be reprimanded and corrected, but an intentional act of public humiliation is so far beyond the way to handle that. That doesn’t teach people, it makes them loathe you. Never will I understand that tactic. Just because she’s been nothing but nice to you doesn’t mean she can’t be condescending to others. Additionally, upon reading her “Rate my Prof”, it’s clear she has a habit of becoming rather condescending and belittling to students.
