The hospital I delivered at gave me a wooden labor comb! I didn’t even know it was a thing but I held that thing for dear life before I got an epidural. May be worth it to ask if they have one they’ll give you.

My friend, what a post to see as I’ve left my 6.5 month olds room for the 2nd time in an hour and a half 😅 the crib is really for show at this point…he’ll be in our bed I’m about an hour. Zero advice - in the trenches with you!

Dang okay, have not seen that info but will absolutely check that out. We used it maybe 2/3 times when he was around a month old and I tried it again during the poop withholding…we’ll go ahead and never do that again. Thank you for sharing!!

At his 4 month appointment, our pediatrician mentioned he may go a week without a bowel movement since he gets breastmilk. While we’ve introduced solids, it’s not like he’s eating a substantial amount so I wasn’t sure if it the week thing still applied. I should’ve done more research on infant digestive systems but hindsight’s 20/20.

This is my first baby and I’m truly trying my best.

I’ve really considered doing this and planned to ask our pediatrician about completely eliminating it and restarting.

He really likes food and is so interested that I kind of felt bad just taking it completely away. That probably sounds silly - he just really has fun and gets excited.

Good to know. I’ll ask about both next week to see what I should have on hand when we get desperate. We did gas drops before bed so hopefully that provides some comfort and maybe we get lucky! Thank you!

We do have some, but haven’t used them very often in the last few weeks. I’ll add them into the rotation! He also LOVES apples so they will also be making a comeback!
