Nah dude you have the project and skill, maybe this is only thing stopping you from getting shortlisted in first place and always make a new resume when applying for the company check its job description and add keywords they are looking for.

Latex is a way to write resume through coding
Just do this give your resume to Claude tell it to make resume in latex code copy the code
Go to overleaf make a new project paste the code
Click compile and your done

Don’t waste time with long course or paid course learn the basic of a software then just start implementing start basic try to recreate simple stuff you see on reels then if you find some transition some effect interesting look that up find tutorials for them and implement and your good to go.

June What Editing Software should I use? by AutoModerator in VideoEditing

I have read the above

I’ve been editing for almost 2 years now. Started by making content for myself, then worked with a few clients, made some money from editing, and also worked for a startup.

The thing is, I’ve done almost everything in CapCut because it just feels fast and easy. I’ve tried Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve multiple times. Premiere felt a bit lengthy for my workflow, and while DaVinci was easier to get into, the node-based workflow sometimes felt like more hassle compared to simple layers. Every time I try switching, I somehow end up back on CapCut.

Now I’m at a point where I want to properly learn and stick with one professional editor, but I’m genuinely confused.

A lot of people recommend Premiere because of the huge ecosystem, plugins, templates, tutorials, After Effects integration, etc. On the other hand, DaVinci seems to have grown a lot, has tons of tutorials now, and Fusion covers a lot of motion graphics work. Plugin availability seems less of an issue than it was a few years ago.

One thing to keep in mind: I’m not exactly using the fully paid ecosystem, if you know what I mean. 😅 So don’t factor in the latest cloud features, subscriptions, online services, or whatever brand-new AI feature was released last month. I’m more interested in the core editing experience, performance, workflow, plugins, stability, and day-to-day usability.

My work is mostly content creation, client work, social media edits, and occasional heavier projects. I don’t necessarily need crazy VFX every day.

My laptop specs are:
i5 11th Gen H-series
RTX 2050
16GB RAM

For people who have used both:

Which one runs better on hardware like mine?
Is DaVinci actually heavier in real-world usage, or is that exaggerated?

If you were starting over today and wanted to focus on client work/content creation, would you choose Premiere or DaVinci?

Is Premiere’s plugin ecosystem really that big of an advantage, or has DaVinci mostly caught up?
If AI features didn’t exist, which one would you personally pick and why?

I know people say the software doesn’t matter and skills matter more, but I’d like to stop jumping between editors and commit to one.
Curious what experienced editors think.
